Worst behaviour of manager shyam as he is world class cheater and also a very ride behaviour manager we have kept our luggage in this. Hotel before going to lachen and after returning he is denying to provide rooms and saying rooms are full we have experience just worst night in gangtok 1st time
The location is definitely good....easy accessibility to taxi stand,Lal market or near restaurants..the staffs were also helpful...service is not on point...but rooms are disappointing...from the pillow cover to bed sheet everything was dirty..
I visited Hotel Mari Gold for 2 days with my family. hotel location is very good,very close to MG Marg and good view of hills from balcony. But service and cleanliness is very poor.
1.Telephone service just a showpiece, not in working condition in any of the room (At reception the admitted with a big smile)
2. Water or whatever u need u have to go to reception each time and report.
3. Room and bathroom are not clean. attached bathroom(R-405) do not have any exhaust fan or ventilator, making it hell.
4. Kitchen was closed and we hove to go outside each time for food. On asking the said due to Holi!!. We are visitor, looking for service not excuse.
when I asked at reception for this level of service they casually told 5 staff are in leave that's why!! this shows level of seriousness of management of hotel providing good service.
Despite of good location, I would suggest never visit this hotel. There are plenty of hotel in this location. Go for other hotel.

This is one of the best hotels I had ever seen. Wonderful staff and wonderful service makes us feel good. Nice food system and located at a very nice place and at rooms are available at a affordable price.
DO NOT STAY HERE. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Horribly dark, dingy and damp. The rooms were extremely dirty and Ill maintained and had huge cockroaches in them. The blankets were hardly usable and again very very dirt. The management was uncooperative and we had to argue with them for basic amenities like towels which were also dirty. The washroom and toilet seat were wet. We could also here conversation from other rooms.
Do not stay there if you don't want to ruin a pleasant trip to Gangtok.
Never ever take the tour package offered by this hotel. Worst travelling experience I have ever had in my life
