Hotel Laukik - Seafood restaurant in Malvan - Sindhudurg, India

Although the location of this place is a bit far from the beach, the staff here is warm and friendly. However, the service was quite slow, which affected our overall experience. The food had its highlights, with the fish being nicely prepared, offering a soft meat and crunchy coating that we would recommend for seafood lovers. Sadly, our excitement waned when we discovered that the prawns were not cleaned or deveined, resulting in a loss of appetite. The pricing was reasonable, with two thaalis costing us 800 rupees. If you have patience for slower service and are willing to take a chance on the seafood dishes, this place might still be worth considering.

We ate Surmai on the first day. was very nice. But then when we ate vegetarian later it was fine but then when we ate vegetarian again it was really bad. The staff there is also not clean. Food takes a long time to arrive. The fish tasted great but a vegetarian should never eat here.

When I first visited this place roughly 3-4 years back it was a small congested old pre independence era typical mud house in konkan area. Also the taste, quality and quantity if the food was deliciously awesome. However the mud house has gone and now its a modern day restaurant with a budget feel buy steep prices. They have certainly compromised on the taste and quality and service is also not that great. Was a fan earlier but not anymore. Probably would explore better options in my next visit here in malwan.

Delicious authentic home made malvani food i ever had. Must try surmai thali and prawns thali. You will get unlimited rice & curry but have to pay more for other food items if you need extra. Very authentic malvani food. In a veg thali they serve rice, curry, dal, sabji, papadam and pickle and chapati which is too good. Rice and curry are unlimited.

We have been to Malvan so many times and as a curious foodie tourist tried so many options offered by the region from fancy restaurants to gharghuti khanawal. By far my favorite is laukik . Been here many times for their lip smacking thalis and fish fries . I definately recommend this place . Home made food and homly seating at its best.

Excellent food and simplicity with a great price. I have been to Laukik many times and admire the guy who serves the food. He is a simple humble guy who always wants to ensure that he has a happy customer. The food is simple and good. Go for it!!

This hotel was suggested by Homestay owner where we were staying and we were really disappointed by the food taste. I think most of the hotel in Malvan claims to serve you authentic Malvan food but very few of them is really authentic. I would suggest that one should explore the food rather than believing on someone
