Hotel Lakeview - Resort hotel in Ooty - The Nilgiris, India

I have already stayed at this resort by 2018 or so. At that time my experience was amazing. Now recently when I booked a room I must say there was a big difference in service and the rooms as well. Could be maintained better. Also there are no heaters in the room whatsoever and you have to pay extra to get either firewood or an electric heater. The food was not good. Few things like this were very inconvenient. Staff tried to help their best. Amazing views and ambience just needs better maintenance.

Individual house kind of rooms with separate dining area included within the room.The rooms are spacious and good for partying. View is good from drone, not from your room. Taking stairs to reach your room on ground level is something that I personally didn't like especially in rain with no cover.It's a very old property and Few rooms are getting renovated. Few rooms have heating area. Service, be it food delivery or housekeeping, takes slightly long time just because of the distance the staff has to travel.

Newly renovated Villas to enjoy the stay with a fireplace and very decently priced. Would recommend eating the food in the restaurant as the room service gets cold quickly because of the weather. Otherwise, it also has a park for kids to enjoy some swings or run around. The only thing is that it's little far from the Ooty centre so you can't just walk there but a quick drive- justified by the acreage and tranquility of the property!

We booked 5 villa and overall it was a great experience. It's very near to the lake and the main tourist attraction. The room service and overall hotel staff is exceptional. The food was great especially the North Indian. We faced no hurdles during our stay.

Rooms are very spacious and clean with a fireplace in most rooms. The property is huge with ample space for walking. The service is very prompt as well. The only thing that can be improved is the quality of food in the restaurant.

I had very peaceful and memorable stay in Lakeview hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe cottage in last row that facing lawn and Ooty lake. The best part to talk about the service mentality of the support staffs. Whoever I met was very polite and gentle. Restaurant experience was also amazing. We tried different cuisines. Special regards to Restaurant Captain David who was promptly attending our needs. Firehouse experience was decent, though we had some concerns about exhaust function. A small shop is available inside the property to buy some snacks, toys and winter clothes. A guy comes with horse, if you like to try a horse ride. I saw that they had arranged Bonfire on demand, for other guests. There is a travel desk to help us with trips. Town proximity is good. Though the cottages are spacious and with decent facilities, they are not with 5-star interior and features. Room interior, floor and furniture weren't seen as pretty as in images. However, the facilities were good enough for us and we enjoyed our three days stay there.

The hotel is decent and is a big property. Not worth the price though as the rooms/cottages are not very well maintained. Plug points do not function as expected. The view is not very good from all cottages and you will oversee other cottages if you are not occupying the first row of the cottages. Lawns are not well maintained and it's not at all worth visiting the property during rain. Overall ok. Not worth 4k/night. You can get better properties for the same price.

They had a great place good Vilas but it's not as good as others. Rooms are ok no woolen blankets , restaurant is costly with normal food, No complimentary breakfast, everything is money. This amount lot of other option with better facility available.
