Hotel Kwality - Biryani restaurant in Bhatkal - Uttara Kannada, India

Bhatkal- A town famous for Bhatkally Biryani and this biryani is considered to be Top 20's biryani of India. I have tried Bengaluru biryani which I don't like at all, Kolkatta biryani again the least favorite, the Malabar biryani where the taste is good but the rice is not the biryani rice and finally the Hyderabadi biryani which I can eat anytime. But whatever home is always home, and the love for Bhatkally biryani is never ending and this time we explored the famous Kwality Hotel located next to Nishat Hospital at NH-66, Bhatkal. This place is serving biryani from the past 3 decades and if anyone outsiders want to try the authentic biryani this is a perfect place. But this is not the fancy place with beautiful interiors, they have kept it simple, you come you eat biryani and you leave. While here we had 1 full plate and 1 half plate chicken biryani, 1 plate kebab and some cold drink which costed us 330 rupees. Generally if you want to try the Bhatkally biryani it has to be home-made friday or wedding biryani but you can always try here. So to all the non bhatkallys if you are passing by Bhatkal town definitely consider trying the Bhatkally biryani and thank me later.

The food was excellent. The kebabs were very tasty. The pricing of food is also not too much for the quality they provide. Overall a nice experience to get to eat the authentic Bhatkal biryani.

We went here out of curiosity after hearing about bhatkali biryani and I must say , we didn't regret. We had a fish biryani and a prawn biryani which were excellent. The spice level , taste and food quality were just perfect. The restaurant person also suggested a fish chilli, which was great too. A bit spicy but good. Overall, the taste and quality of the food was excellent, but the atmosphere could have been better. They don't have a washroom in the restaurant. Otherwise everything else is perfect! Recommend!!

One of the best hotel in bhatkal, specifically famous for Biryani. Food quality is v.Good , it is a family restaurant. They provide one of the good quality food.

Came from Kripal Amanna's recommendation and was really satisfied with the fish biriyani location in highway itself for travellers and parking also available. Go after 1pm for fish/prawns biriyani availability.

M giving 5 stars coz you must try Dum Biryani here which is available only on wed and Sunday post 7pm.. my fav since Childhood.. no biryani in India can replace the Bhatkal Kwality hotel Dum Biryani ..

This place offers amazing fish biryani and chicken dum biryani (on Wednesdays and Sundays). I travel frequently to Bhatkal just to have a taste of this tasty fish(melu) biryani.
