Yes for prompting me to write this. There are two aspects to it. One is accomodation and the other is Restaurant. As far as accomodation in the hotel concerned it is remodeled and stands to meet all the present day's requirements. We enjoyed our stay in a family room. Ican offer five star ratings.. But experience in the Restaurant you cannot expect our Coimbatore, Pollachi, hotel s service. You will find dozens of heads in front of your table. But nobody will bother to enquire you to take your orders

Nice place. Pretty good for South Indian food. Coffee is good. Idli and vadas are really good. Vadas appear to be cooked ofter order is placed. So very fresh.

Located at one of the most happening place of the city, this restaurant has manged to exist over decades. The dishes are too pricey and quality not is ok kind. North indians would like the taste as they would not have had the authentic South food. Parking would be a problem for both two and four wheelers

Expensive, very salty South Indian dishes. Rude management staff. Better to eat in other local restaurants than getting the expensive salty food made by aliens. The institution has gone down.

we had lunch today after a long wait of forty years. Looking forward to having a nice meal. My husband ordered for a thali and me masal dosa. Thali came after a good wait of 25 minutes only to find the thali items very cold. We complained and anew thali was brought after ten minutes wait, items were just warm. Taste was not good at all, very disappointing. Hope the management looks into this and take necessary steps to keep up their image.

Nice experience. Had Idly, thali, juice and tea. South Indian thali comprising of various items was a complete meal. Good taste.Fast service. It was crowded on a Saturday with waiting time. The menu card apart from South Indian dishes had other items catering to local taste. Price reasonable.

The approach walk up is wet. They need to cover the top. Food is excellent.

Being a Chennai person, I and my wife visited on14th July, this highly appreciated restaurant by many, after seeing their reviews and really got disappointed. It is the worst hotel, no quality with high price, we can say horrible food. We have unnecessarily spent more than Rs.1200/- for cab (from and to Park street) and adding lunch costs. I suggest all, please do not visit this hotel in your lifetime. Roadside food in Kolkata is very cheap and much better than this Komala Vilas hotel. You may find from reviews, that many people who appreciated this hotel are North Indians and they might not have eaten our authentic South Indian food. We had a worst food here. Please do not visit this hotel. There is no banana leaf and in a tray they put a small banana leaf and they advertise as if they put full banana leaf.
