Never try this. No proper ventilation or lights. Rooms are not at all clean. Can feel the dust on bare foot. Wall plasters are peeling. Wardrobes has to be cleaned of our own to keep our things, Old model TVs. Breakfast mentioned but no restaurant at all. Not even worth 800 rupees per day. Beware of rats. I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hotel Kathir Palace and I must say it was far from the pleasant stay I had anticipated. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel's service left much to be desired. First and foremost, the check-in process was a nightmare. Despite having a reservation, I had to wait in line for an extended period before anyone acknowledged my presence. The staff at the front desk appeared disinterested and lacked the professionalism one would expect from a reputable hotel. Upon finally receiving my room key, I was shocked by the condition of the room. It was evident that cleanliness was not a priority. The sheets were stained, the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, and there was a musty odor throughout the room. It was a far cry from the clean and comfortable environment I had hoped for. The lack of responsiveness from the hotel staff was also a major issue. When I reported these cleanliness issues, it took multiple calls and hours of waiting for someone to address them. The staff's attitude was dismissive, and their unwillingness to resolve the problems promptly was frustrating. Furthermore, the amenities promised on the hotel's website were either unavailable or in poor condition. The fitness center was outdated and poorly maintained, and the restaurant's service was slow, with subpar food quality. Overall, my experience at Kathir Palace was nothing short of disappointing. It was evident that the hotel was not living up to its promises of quality service and comfortable accommodations. I would strongly advise anyone considering a stay at this hotel to look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and hassle-free experience.

Rooms was just ok. No room service. They dump all the waste between the rooms where there is a stair. If the rooms are allocated at the last, we need to cross the dump and go. Bathroom cleanliness is very worst. Very near to Railway station and Meenakshi Amman temple.

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! The worst hospitality experience and the worst hotel booking mistake ever was to book this place. Their staff is very arrogant, ill-mannered, disrespectful, humiliating, insulting and offensive. I mean each of the above words. Their amenities are falsely promised over makemytrip and oyo. They do not even provide mineral water and room service. They would always seek for chances to put fraud charges and loot money. Would it not have been this hotel's disastrous experience, I would have always cherished my visit to Meenakshi Amman temple. Sad such people claim to be hoteliers.

Do not believe the OYO booking confirmation, i came to this place with OYO confirmation but the hotel people have denied my check-in mentioning it's overbooked. Though I have booked a week in advance it's a shear disappointment when I came to the place. Neither the hotel people informed me nor there OYO people on the booking cancellation. Secondly the customer care asking me to cancel the booking knowing the fact it is overbooked. Its a worst experience i had with both of them.

Worst experience till date. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel at all!! The hotel manager and staff behaved very poorly, yelled at us for no reason and was very disrespectful, and insulting to us. The amenities that were promised were not provided and on top of that they forced us to pay them more money.

Old building, but have a phone call to keep it clean and tidy before you enter the hotel. Not bad, or not very good. I am not expecting 2 star or 3 star rooms when it's close to the temple and in pilgrimage mode. Stay was good and hassle free. If you want to relax there is a bar on the downstairs - open until 12:30 am. Cheap AC room with hot water and it worth money.
