I recently attempted to stay at Hotel Kanishka, but unfortunately, I was denied accommodation. I was shocked by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the staff. In addition to the poor service, the hotel's decor appeared old and shabby, with a noticeable lack of maintenance. The atmosphere felt dark and shady, leaving me with a sense of discomfort. Overall, I cannot recommend Hotel Kanishka based on my experience. The negative aspects of my visit greatly outweighed any potential benefits of staying at the hotel. I would give this hotel a 0 out of 5 points, and suggest finding alternative accommodations in the area.
Very good hotel at reasonable price. I stay here whenever I'm in Bongaigaon for work. Its a very old kind of heritage property. Don't expect any luxury and awesome service but everything is very well placed compared to price. Staff are polite and they are serving the place for a very long time. Food is good and service is ok if not best most of the time. I really love the place at this cost.
Location and room - good, well furnished but TV was CRT (too old) and set top box was not operational, so couldn't watch TV. Chicken items were not delicious.
One of the finest hotels in the city. Great rooms with great pricing. The food at the restaurant is very good too, a solid 8/10. Located in a place where transport is easily available. The service is fine as well. Overall a nice experience. If you want a decent hotel for both food and lodge, this is definitely one of the top ones in the city and you'll not be disappointed.
One of the best lodging places in Bongaigaon. Decent location with easy pass to all prime amenities. Hotel is neat and clean and staff are very nice. They have an in-house restaurant. Hotel is old and has lost its charm now. The tariff details of room shows it (pic is enclosed). Hotel needs Renovation. Maintenance is lacking. I found cockroach in room on enquiring the management said room has been closed since last one and half year due to COVID-19. The sugar provided with tea had ants in it. Rates are quite high but the amenities are not provided (1800 tariff room doesn't provides tea maker, small body wash etc) AC makes lot of sounds. Staffs behaves well.
Ageless hotel. Staff have worked since the beginning like 25 years ago!! Brings back good memories. Rooms and bathrooms are big. Food is tasty because of old staff!!! Service is prompt and friendly if you engage with them. They are like one big family. Keep low expectations and you will enjoy your stay all the time. Keep it going
I was told by my seniors that it used to be one of the best hotels in Bongaigaon once upon a time. But now it seems to have lost its charm. Maintenance is surely lacking. It definitely needs renovation and modernization to keep up to the new hotels.
