This is a nice place to have pure veg food. A small place with seating capacity around 9 people in the compound at the back. Excellent pure veg food in Malvan. If you want variety, just inform them in advance about your plans for lunch/dinner. We requested them for dinner, and they happily accepted and prepared it in about 30 minutes. It was really tasty Malavani veg food.

Location: Right behind the temple. Ambience: very calm near coconut and tropical trees. in a typical Konkani patio with red terracotta roof tiles. Total 5 tables (4 chairs each) Food: pure veg, homely and comforting taste. They serve unique local delicacies like 'shirvale', modak, amboli, ghavan and tastes really good. Shirvale is rice noodles in coconut milk sweetened by jaggery, nutmeg and ilaichi. Service: It's a family run specialty outlet that serves local delicacies only. They make fresh food every time. So serving is not superfast and one needs to wait 10-15 mins depending on other orders. The waiter boy needs to learn to keep tables clean and remember to pass on requests (orders). Payment: they accept cash and UPI scans (Paytm, Google pay etc) Owner Kalsekar uncle is polite, affable and guides about local cuisine and recipes. Tip: Ask for seasonal and local specials like jackfruit (fanas) bhaji, ole kaaju usal (raw fresh cashew), kelful bhaji, kairi panha etc.

Very unprofessional and rude staff.. We had paid Rs. 100 in advance (2 hours earlier for booking) for lunch for 5 people. Still we had to wait for around 45 minutes for our food to be served. We fed up and left the place before we were served. Hence, can't comment anything about the taste. But will neither visit this place nor recommend it to someone else....

Best place for veg food in Malvan...not easy to find this place in the small bylanes of Malvan...it is right behind the Ganesh temple..the menu is limited but food is very tasty ...if you are pure vegetarian then do not think twice ..simply head for hotel jay ganesh...you will not regret...
