Hotel Janatha Deluxe - South Indian restaurant in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

This hotel is crowded during weekends and the service so bad and the management doesn't even bother to fix it. Ordered Veg Noodles and they took 45 min. to serve on the table which is ridiculous! Neat and hygienic hotel with okay ambience located in a primary place.

For Dine-in, it's one of the best vegetarian restaurants. I have been enjoying occasional cuisine here for more than 10 years, and i have seen a decline in service and food quality/taste for some items from the past. However, it's still enjoyable to eat out here. The waiting time to get a table during peak time is high, and also, food order to be served takes a while these days(15 min average).

I went in seeing that's it's a pure vegetarian restaurant and I was happy overall. It's fully air conditioned. I ordered the North Indian special meal. It was started with soup. It was served hot but lacked taste. Felt like it was watered down, boiled and served. The main thali was having 1 naan, 1 roti, paneer curry, mix veg curry, pulao, basmati rice, dal, raitha, curd and sweet. The naan was bit on the harder side. As it turned cold, it was harder to tear it into small pieces but Roti was awesome on the other hand. The paneer curry was a bit on the sweetish side. Everything else was really good. Meal also includes a small cup ice cream. Quick service. and had quiet environment. Overall a good experience.

I ordered kaju masala in swiggy but they have given me oil masala with little kajuu, whoever eats this they will get cholesterol for sure don't try this don't waste money on the food , worst experience

I don't know about hotels, but I know about their restaurant and it's totally yummy South Indian food, specially their thali which was literally tasty and yummy, if you are visiting the manglore and looking for the restaurant to eat specially veg it's for you.. well this hotel is one of the oldest hotel in manglore so u can understand how well known and good they are, one more thing they do have zomato services which makes it easier to get there food at ur place. Well downward is if u leave far or near it doesn't matter because sometimes they deliver few selected items on zomato which is a bummer..

Elegant ambience I had rasam Vada Mysore masala okay menu had wide variety of Chinese North Indian dishes available after ,6.30pm cool not so crowded some of staff need some traing

One of the worst foods we have tasted.. ordered North Indian special thali.. which costs 175 rupees.. waiter gave cold raw papad with dirty tomato soup.. Then with thali soggy rotties and tasteless curries.. very very disappointing.. please don't waste money on food..

Unfortunately the quality of food has deteriorated ... Once this restaurant was famous for quality food in Mangalore . Even for breakfast, Idly & Vada served were not fresh and hot.. If this trend continues no valued customers revisit
