Hotel Ivory 32 - Hotel in New Delhi - South East, India

As I write this review my wife is having a nightmarish stay at Hotel Ivory 32. The executive room in which she is put is not fit for stay. The mattress is hard as rock, damaged spring, wires can felt. The room has a bad smell. It seems the towel, bed linen and curtains haven't been changed in years. The toilet has tissue rolls which have probably not been moved or used in months. Hygiene is non existent in all aspects of the room. I'm not sure how authorities allow such hotels to run. They are a health hazard and a recipe for physical and mental tiredness and discomfort. They have taken all the money up front and now one can understand as to why. Anyone walking in will not want to stay here. We have requested the hotel for a refund. Watch this post for further update. Highly recommended not to stay at this hotel.

Mattresses are very uncomfortable with too much spring and broken at places. AC kept turning on and off the whole night and even after 2-3 calls to the reception, no one came to fix the issue. Tried to order food but there was nothing available except sandwiches.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The location in Greater Kailash was great, a very short walk to the M-block market and easy to get to nearly every part of Delhi from here. But, the room was very far from the level of cleanliness I would have liked. There was a layer of dust over everything (even after cleaning), sheets were stained. Housekeeping does not come unless you ask them to. It's affordable and decent value for the cost, but feels like just a place to sleep in and keep your stuff in, but not a place to ever get comfortable in (which sucks for a long stay).

I stayed for 6 days. The location is good and has access to all major places in Delhi . The rooms are well maintained and clean. The staff is very helpful and prompt. Service and hospitality is good. All the managers Vijay, Vicky and Ankit are very cooperative. Food is decent. Overall i had a nice stay.

1. We were given a late check-in, inspite asking to call us and inform about check in time. We didn't receive any response. 2. Bed is pathetic. One can literally hear the noise of spring when they sit. It will surely soar your back. 3. Hand Towel was kept on the toilet seat. When asked to removed we were told this is our pattern you can remove it yourself. 4. There is dust in chairs and all the down surfaces of the room. Meaning the room is cleaned only from the surface. 5. Pillow cases are literally black from stains. 6. Towels are black too. 7. Broken switch. This shows how unmaintained this hotel is.

The location is very good ,close to humayun tombs etc . The rooms are small but clean. Breakfast is served. Room service for other meals. The staff was very courteous and very helpful from the receptionist to the waiters and housekeeping were good.

The room was comfortable, clean with wardrobe and writing table. Doesn't have external ventilation. Inhouse restaurant facility is good. But not all items on menu are available always. You are on mercy of their kitchen at times. Bathroom was clean with shower/jet facility but water pressure was an issue.

Visited this hotel. Enjoyed the stay and overall experience. I would like to sum up my experience in points below: 1. The owner & staff: The owner & employees are very welcoming. The way they speak is very respectful and pleasing. 2. Cleanliness: The room and bathroom were clean and modernised. The clean and white sheets showed the amount of effort the hotel puts for the cleanliness and hygienic stay. 3. The food: I enjoyed the restaurant food there. The food was delicious and starters amazing especially 'Hara Bhara Kebabs'. The room service of food is also quick. 4. Location: The hotel has close proximity to the market and metro station which is an added advantage. In brevity, my stay experience was amazing.
