It's a Good Hotel right at Heart of the City. Moderately priced, Good Interior and Ambience. Food was Average in taste for the price they charge but the service staff are very polite and excellent. Neat and clean spacious, comfortable rooms.
Hotel needs refurbishment. They seem to have started on some aspects. My room windows were stuck. Bathroom window was an entry to insects and I could not close it. All comforters are old cotton, which I am allergic to. Linens need cleaning. I can go on but there are positive aspects also. Food was good and service was also not bad. Location is excellent. I hope to see better renovation in future.
One of the best place to stay in Shimla. Neat clean good rooms. Great service, good food. Ample parking space. Close to Ridge and Mall (few minutes walk to Lift). Beautiful garden. They should have buffet spread of breakfast, instead of taking orders.
I just had to tell you about this amazing hotel I stayed at recently. It was seriously the best hotel experience I've ever had. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the amenities were top-notch. I don't even get me started on the breakfast buffet - it was like a feast fit for a king. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

We went to shimla during Monsoon so, it was less crowded and this hotel is located little away from the clutter. They have grand area and our room was facing Shimla market. As it was monsoon and we stuck inside but view was awesome and we had great time.
Disappointing Experience: The Holiday Home Shimla I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel, and I must say that it was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my disappointment and warn others about the numerous issues I encountered during my stay. Here are the reasons why I would not recommend this hotel to anyone: Poor Customer Service: Right from the start, the hotel staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional. They lacked basic courtesy and failed to address my concerns promptly. It felt like they were doing me a favor by attending to my needs. Unhygienic Conditions: The cleanliness of the hotel was severely lacking. The room I was assigned to had visible stains on the carpet and an unpleasant odor. The bathroom was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, and the basic toiletries were not available, the towels provided were old and worn out. Noise and Disruption: The hotel failed to maintain a peaceful and relaxing environment. There was constant noise coming from adjacent rooms and hallways, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The lack of soundproofing resulted in a disruptive and unpleasant experience. Inadequate Amenities: The amenities promised on the hotel's website did not match the reality. The Wi-Fi connection was weak and unreliable, making it nearly impossible to stay connected. Overpriced and Poor Value for Money: Considering the subpar quality of the hotel, the rates were exorbitant. I felt like I was paying a premium for a below-average experience. The lack of value for money was highly disappointing and left a bitter taste in my mouth. Ignored Complaints: Despite bringing my concerns to the attention of the hotel management, they seemed disinterested and failed to take appropriate action. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them, because it's a "Sarkari Hotel." Overall, my stay at The Holiday Home Shimla was a regrettable experience, I was about to stay there for five days but I checked out after two days of poor customer service to the unhygienic conditions and lack of value for money, I cannot find a single redeeming quality. I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere for a more pleasant and accommodating hotel experience.
It was a wonderful experience to stay in Hotel Holiday Home, Simla. It is under HPTDC group of hotels and I as a single lady traveller was taken care of very well. Hospitality was excellent, the staff was very polite and courteous , room service was prompt and clean. The package that was offered to me by Arvindji was very nice too.
