Hotel Himalayan Brook - Hotel in Darjeeling - Darjeeling, India

From my side it is zero star. Please save your hard earned money. Don't book this hotel. At Kolkata it is available for booking through the Indian Bank holiday home. If u visit there, they will convince you to book this. But trust me this is hilarious. The location you can't find easily. And it is located at a high altitude. Elder person can't go there. Hotel rooms are dirty, not maintained properly. I waste my money. Please don't go there. Thank you

Very good. Far away from your daily busy life you can perceive the divine beauty and calmness of hills...the entire Himalayan Range from the roof top of the Hotel and from your Room. A really Ideal place to refill with fresh stimulation and spirituality.

Best thing about this hotel is it's elevated location which gives you a clear and uninterrupted view of Kanchenjunga from the terrace, but sadly it's also it's negative point. If you are travelling with elderly parents or people with mobility issues, getting to the hotel is a huge challenge as it's a step uphill climb and really distressing for the elderly. The hotel staff offers to transport people upto the hotel using scooters but that might not be ideal for everyone. The rooms too need improvement as the walls are extremely damp and you will need to get an additional heater to survive the cold. The staff behaviour is very polite and they try their best to give optimal services given the facilities. The Darjeeling Mall is about 5-6 minutes walking distance from the location. It's a good option if you are going for a friends trip but won't advice for a family vacation.

The hotel was wonderful with prime location. It was clean the mountain view can be enjoyed from the roof of the hotel where sitting area is nicely been provided. My room was clean and the hotel staff were all helpful. Specially I am grateful to Raman Chettri. He helped me at his great extend with all my requirement. It was a solo trip and first visit to Darjeeling. It's became memorable thanks to the hotel for it's wonderful service. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a hassle free stay and memorable visit.

Lovely staff - in particular Roman and AzayFirstly if you are reading this, please note that the location on Google maps is WRONG but is correct on Booking.com. Big shout out for two of the staff - Roman and Azay. They dealt very well with a difficult situation when we arrived - the train we had come on was 4 hours late, it was pouring with rain and we couldn't find the hotel. They were superb and absolutely lovely during the whole of our stay. This is a budget hotel but it is close to the centre and the Wifi and shower were good.I would prefer totally fitted sheets as they kept coming away in the night.

Pros- 1) polite and helpful staff with good behaviour and the view from hotel rooftop was awesome where you can see kanchanjanga views. Cons- 1) Location is not so good. Taxi or 4 wheeler can not reach at location and parking is also not available. If you want to burn your energy more you can opt. I am dissatisfied with location. 2) taste of foods are good but costly in terms of nearby restaurants foods and second thing is that very limited foods items in their menu. 3) TV is only for name...not working at all. 4) room heater is not available. 5) Credit card not accepted.

The hotel is near to Ramada, clock tower and keventers. The room is good in this price range. There is no disturbence from staf. The boys were good specially Roman who is property manager and receptionist boy was also awesome. Everything was awesome except one thing that hotel is in little altitude if you are from plains like me you will find some difficulty to climb. Best for couple and group. Must visit property

1. Taxi fare from Bus stand to Hotel Sweet Home Rs. 400/- to 500/- then walking distance about 500 m. To the hotel property in high altitude and unfortunately light is not available at night. 2. Wash room/toilet is small and narrow water exhausting hole is near door and also submerged.3) Mountain view and pick of Kanchanjangha through windows restricted by the backside of the another building. But view from terrace is excellent thus better for low budget.
