Not a good experience. Not a responsive reception, any boy of their cleaning department or any cook etc seemed to be sitting at reception without much help for your concern. If you raise a problem,person at reception only gives some number to call which is never picked. Only a gentle lady tried to help but had her own limitations of timings. Further geyser are not in working condition. Almost 1 hour is taken for the smallest of food order. Avoid this hotel for avoiding mental torture on a vacation.
The hotel is amazing, with a great room view with nice hospitality. Just one point is that at night it becomes a little darker on the roads to reach the hotel. Rest is amazing and the lady manager is a very sweet kind person,all staff's behaviour is good & breakfast is too good.
A wonderful stay at Hotel Helia. Hotel staff are very careful listing customers and delivering requirements. We stayed for two days at the hotel. Gangtok means Hotel Helia. Looking forward to it soon.
We stayed at Hotel Helia for 3 nights and our stay was comfortable. I am giving 5 stars just because of the staff nature there. Amazing view from the room and the terrace. The hotel manager is two sweet and all the other staff members. They help you as if you are their own. Just few things, the in room service can be a little better, apart from that everything was good.
Location is great. Its a small hotel but with decent hygine and comfort. Food is avg. There was some water problem but that can be fixed. If you want 2 rooms, get the attic rooms. You are literally on the roof with good privacy and you will have a patio for yourself. View is pretty good, if you have clear weather you can see Kanchanjanga from the patio. pics added.
Excellent hotel near walkable distance of M.G Marg..The owner is so cordial and staffs are well behaved.Rooms are very clean and buffet breakfast is sumptuous.They will check minute details and help in every possible way.I left my shades while coming back to Kolkata.They have sent the same via courier.Its located in a peaceful location just beside yatayat bhawan.Highly recommended.
