We had idli and chow chow bath.... khara bath was perfect and flavourful and Kesari bath was wow!! It was so so good... pineapple flavour...not too sweet, just perfect... must try...
Nice place for authentic South Indian food. The only downside is they are very pricey. A piece of their popular Mysore Pak is 40 bucks. Definitely not VFM. Ample parking available on the kerb and service section too
Located in the heart of the Peenya industrial area, this restaurant has been in operation for more than three decades. The vibe here reminds me of traditional eateries with their vintage appeal. The food served here is both delicious and affordable. The Gulab Jamun with ice cream is a must try item. It can be a struggle to find parking four-wheelers in this area, especially during peak hours.
Just went to have sweets n icecream and they were really good. Jamoon and Mysore Pak were just amazing. Again we went to have meals where we had palav, lemon rice, bisi bele bath, curd rice, white rice, sambar and rasam with one Mangalore bajji. Later I took extra maddur vada, Mangalore bajji.
Nestled inconspicuously in Peenya's industrial area, Hotel Gurukrupa Bhats Canteen, popularly known as Bhats Canteen, is a true hidden gem that has stood the test of time for 35 years. My recent visit for breakfast left me pleasantly surprised and deeply satisfied with its warmth, service, and delightful offerings. Upon stepping into Bhats Canteen, I was immediately greeted with a welcoming ambience and an air of nostalgia. The unassuming decor and vintage charm provided a sense of comfort, reminding me of traditional family eateries from decades past. The staff's genuine smiles and courteous attitude further enhanced the experience, making me feel right at home. One of the first things that caught my attention was the reasonable pricing. In an era where many eateries overcharge for even the most basic meals, Bhats Canteen maintains its authenticity by offering wholesome breakfast options at affordable rates. It is a refreshing change from the exorbitant prices often associated with today's bustling restaurant scene. Now, let's talk about the real star of the show - the filter coffee. Being a coffee aficionado, I hold this beverage to high standards, and Bhats Canteen did not disappoint. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, enticing my senses even before the first sip. The coffee was rich, robust, and perfectly balanced, exemplifying the essence of South Indian filter coffee. Each sip was a delightful journey that awakened my taste buds and set the tone for a memorable breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the menu at Bhats Canteen offers an array of traditional South Indian delights, including, idlis, vadas, rice bath and more. We opted for the classic idli vada, chow chow bath, poori masala & masala vada and it was nothing short of perfection. The vada's crisp texture and flavour were a testament to the expertise that has been honed over the decades The accompanying chutney and sambar added a delightful touch to the overall experience. Beyond the delectable food and coffee, Bhats Canteen's most outstanding aspect is its hidden location. While Peenya's industrial area may not be an obvious choice for food enthusiasts, the journey to discover this hidden gem is undoubtedly worth it. Bhats Canteen stands as a beacon of authenticity and cultural heritage, offering a glimpse into Bangalore's rich culinary history. In conclusion, my visit to Bhats Canteen was nothing short of delightful. The warm hospitality, reasonable prices, and exceptional filter coffee, combined with the scrumptious breakfast options, make it an experience that is etched in my memory. If you're looking to embark on a culinary journey that transcends time, I wholeheartedly recommend Bhats Canteen for a truly nostalgic and satisfying breakfast experience.
One of our favourite. We visit at least once in a month. Their hospitality is so good . I always think to settle for 2 or 3 dishes but they offer so nicely that I taste most of all the dishes. Hot water with added lavancha is so refreshing after finishing. A must visit place. All the dishes are good . Worth for money.
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Service is at their best. Every food tasted was very tasty.
We visited this on return to chennai. We had a mini lunch at this place. The place quite busy with many footprints. It is located middle of an industrial area. Both self service and service dining is available. Service is super fast. All the dishes were good. I like the filter coffee the most

One of the older restaurants in south Bangalore. This is the original Brahmin's coffee Bar. Subsequently many places with same name have started in Bangalore though they are not related. Unlike most other places this restaurant has its own timing - 7
