HOTEL GRAND CHUBI LEH - Hotel in Leh - Leh Ladakh, India

Lovely hotel, beautiful garden. The hosts are very attentive and kind. Lovely meals, great breakfasts. Always ready to help you out on anything you migth need. Stayed there as for of a volunteer program, the owners gave us a discount and were truly gracious. My gratitude to them and the staff!

In our recent trip we stayed at hotel grand chube and the stay was very comfortable and view from the hotel was awesome. Food they serve in their restaurant was very delicious as they use their own garden vegetables. We also hire taxi for whole leh tour and they had provide very clean and hygiene cab and stays in nobra and pangong was also good. Overall it was a great experience with hotel grand chube staffs and their service.

Good and big hotel. In regular sessions one can feel a quiet environment. Regular rooms rent 3500rs with breakfast and dinner. Dinner and breakfast are good for gujrati people.Non veg also available on request. parking space also there. good view from balcony. market also near by around 500m walking. overall good experience.

Well this a detailed review of this place. I was looking for a budget trip and posted the details on Facebook. The owner contacted me through Facebook and told me he would arrange everything in a low good budget. So He was the one to approach me for it not me. I went leh and was given a different hotel room for the night and not as promised in his hotel. The next day I was shifted to his hotel that is grand chubi. People were fine and good. The rooms were given in 1500 budget with food for two people which is nice and the food was average. So I am a average Indian girl who bargains. So for the whole leh trip to starting from leh to nubra to pangong the car was arranged. The driver given to us was the owners best friend but was sooo rude and did not stop in between the sightseeing places as he wanted to reach fast to play or see football. So my question is why take the responsibility to take someone on sightseeing if football is extremely important. 2 days local leh sightseeing was with him when I requested for a driver change in the afternoon. Evening was hall of fame light show which he cancelled at the end moment saying he would not take us. We had to arrange a cab then which was very unprofessional on his part. Fortunately we got another driver Tshwang on the next day. This guy was a gem of a person and we had our best days in pangong and nubra with him. As we were back to leh I see the attitude change in the owner and the receptionist because of the complaint of the first driver. On the last day of the trip we hired a scooty and went on local missed places. While we returned the scooty may have been hit or rubbed by a car or stone which they kept telling me it was fallen. Dude if I fell I would have got hurt. The receptionist Sonam is the filthiest and rudest humans I have met. They are all about money and extra charges and she kept telling me we have given the room to you in almost free. It's not free it's 1500 and i didn't walk into your hotel your owner walked into my messages for offering me this price. I was willing to pay for scratch damage but they kept asking for part change payment of 1500 extra. I paid 1000 which was not even worth it as i had a bus to catch early morning and The filthy girl Sonam kept saying we are ladakhi and we don't lie and we have provided you everything so less price and this that. Irrelevant talks by her and the owner Jimmy threatened me saying don't think I am not in ladakh and I will not let you leave from leh. This is solely because his dad belongs to a political party and they think it's ok to threaten anyone. Anyways the scooty had scratches and I agreed to pay but there were irrelevant talks by Sonam all the time. Specifically saying that things are provided in less and free where we were even charged 300 extra for local stopping points sightseeing on the way from pangong to leh. So you first of all need to learn manners to talk girl and you didn't provide anything for free we were charged for everything. The budget was given by you and not me. So when u say we ladakhi please make sure to say I ladakhi as if you say we you represent the whole community to be as filthy and bad as you. I met alot of good people on the way and one of them is also Tshwang our driver. In all it was not a bad stay but the experience was bad with these guys who ask for extra money for everything. If you can't provide things in a budget please don't approch people and make their experience bad. The taxi rates were charged to us as by the union charges and a 15% discount was given on that. The girl Sonam also kept saying that's the 15% we earn but the car provided to us was the hotel car so everything was yours except the Rs. 800 provided to the driver and the fuel. So please don't think we don't know what you guys were doing. Provide better customer service and you will shine. My suggestion to people reading this review is You will get many good hotels in the leh market itself in a good budget and this hotel is inside. So think before you book. The hotel is not bad but the people are.

Going there since last 7 years... It's one of the best hotels in Leh... Excellent food... Very warm people... Very helpful... Superb hospitality!!!... Will come here again and again

We are 4 families stayed at hotel grand chube recently and the stay was awesome and comfortable.Very clean and spacious rooms with the clear view of snow covered mountains ,leh palace ,and Shanti stupa .We had done our whole tour package from Mr Jimmy starting from Manali and end our tour in Srinagar.We all are very thankful to him for arranging everything and make our tour so comfortable with travelling and stays in jispa ,leh ,nobra valley ,and pangong .Waiting for next year again to visit leh and stay at grand chube . Overall it was an excellent service.Keep it up

I stayed in Grand Chubi from 10 May 23 to 15 May 23 with family. Stay was really pleasant. It is located hardly 10 minut walkable distance from Leh market. Beautiful himalaya, leh palace and Shanti Shtoop is visible from hotel room only. Staff is very polite. Managers are really cooperative, very soft spoken. Food was also good.
