Hotel Gir Scintilla - Hotel in Ta. Mendarda, Dis. Junaghadh, Sasan Gir - Junagadh, India

Nice stay with clean rooms and nice reception. No kitchen and nearest restaurant in 3.5 km away. Approach road is bad but hotel is 2 km from gir entry

The rooms are not very clean and toilet is dirty and generally bad maintained. Not worth the money they charge.

Room tariff is little higher for all the hotels in this area. Same is true for this one. Good part is that they provided clean linens and towels, hotel is clean inside (so maximum rating I can give is 3.5), but bathroom is poorly maintained. The approach road nearly 100 m is kuchcha with open drain flowing on the road and it is surrounded by cow sheds. Only tea is provided in hotel and for everything else you have to go out. I had my car so managed one night because better to stay in Sasan if you have booked morning safari.

The property is quite new and is maintained very cleanly and is located in close proximity to the Jeep Safari pickup point for the Gir Lion Safari. While the property in itself is worth the money paid, I have to specially mention the owner Haresh Bhai and his support staff. We landed as a family of 3 (including one child) at around 5 in the evening and we were greeted with hot tea that was sent up to our rooms at no extra cost. The package I had opted for was inclusive of morning breakfast. Though the hotel does not serve breakfast, they arrange for it from a nearby restaurant which they deliver to your room, alongwith your morning tea which was again complimentary. The service is something which will stay in my mind and heart a long long time. I will definitely recommend this hotel if you have your own vehicle as the only negative I can see is that the approach road is a little kuchha and walking up to the property is not recommended. They have their own parking for cars and if you can arrange for that then this is the best VFM hotel in the vicinity

The hotel staff and the manager were very cooperative. The rooms are clean & maintained, location is very close to Gir national park entrance as well. The manager helped us to arrange a cab for coming to Gir from Girnar and going to Somnath after checking out. He also arranged a jypsy for the safari at Gir national park.

we started from Diu around 3pm and reached the hotel around 5:30, pm u can contact the hotel for safari booking both Gir Goverernment safari and Devalia Safari. but it's better u book it . This hotel is very near to the booking cpunter and thwy have given us early check in and late check put as well. cleanliness is a lil issue but good is very homely and the staff is also very supportive. if ur main focus is the safari, then this is a good to go hotel. our stay was pleasant.

I have found several cockroaches in the room. This hotel is in a lane and surrounded by several cowsheds. Cleanliness was moderate. Untrained staff. They don't provide hot water at night. Rooms and bed covers must be cleaned properly.

AC Bed room and bathroom is good condition. Hot water supply at bathroom. 9-10 mimutes walking distance from SASAN GIR SINH SADAN booking counter. Gir forest safari OPEN HOOD ZIP CAR pick up from hotel and back to hotel after safari is also available by paid service.
