Hotel Gateway Tezpur - Hotel in Tezpur - Sonitpur, India

Every time I visit this hotel, I get amazed by the service, their conduct, comfort and the way they take care of us. Special thanks to the lady there in reception and overall staff.That was really, what we call..... "Service from heart".The hotel is located at a quiet and beautiful area .The rooms are clean and spacious with the provision water heater, towels and soap. They also take orders for food .Economically priced, Highly Recommended !

Service is ok, front desk staff lady is very helpful and kind. But this is not family related hotel. I don't recommend family in this hotel. This hotel allows very dirty and disgusting guest in their hotel. I suggest, this hotel should strict their rules and regulations. Some guest smoke and drinks in the room. This is disgusting. That room was smelling very bad, so hotel management should strict their policies in this regard. Bathrooms are dirty. Bedroom is nice. but hot water geyser not working properly in the bathroom.. Wifi tv available, you can enjoy YouTube on the tv. Services ok ok.. hygiene not good. I give 3 star for kind behave of front desk.

Overall experience is good,need to improve the food quality as well as need to add different items in menu.

Had a comfortable stay. Was not feeling too well in the stomach but the hotel people took extra care of the food for me which I'm really thankful for. Location wise too it was perfect. The staff were so polite.

Spacious and neatly maintained rooms. Bathrooms are comparatively big, clean, well maintained and fitted with all modern amenities. Antique type furniture are very comfortable and eye pleasing. Sufficient parking space and the location is very peaceful. Icing on cake is the services and well mannered staff. Highly recommended for cozy and comfortable stay.

Very bad hotel pathetic experience bad behavior of staff do not go for oyo photos those are fake. They don't open gate before 9 am even after early check out. Worst hotel in Tezpur Assam. Avoid booking. AC not working power cut issues no generators. Lights are fused. Basically a couple hotel where you can book in hourly system. Book that way if you like that kind of enjoyment

Better go find a footpath or a hotel other than this near by instead of booking online... Worst experience ever, pathetic staff, pathetic manager, not interested to do any kind of business as they did not let me check in my booked room post 12 pm despite having informed in advance. More over these sleep deprived headless people even turned down my offer to book a new room on the spot as if they had tree of customers(even though the place looked shabby and ill managed like a store room from inside). Anyways I can't review the room or stay as I couldn't even see it myself but the place was dirty the moment you enter and gives you bad vibes about the place and the sleepy staff and hungry manager will confirm your intuitions with their behaviour and dedication towards not doing any business and shut down the place. You can get much better rooms and places if you move half a km towards Darrang College which is in vicinity of this pathetic place.

I stayed here for one night en route Tawang as a fallback since my ILP was not confirmed and I needed to wait for another day. The property is at an unsuspecting location on the road-side near a petrol pump. To my surprise, similar to the previous hotel I stayed in, this one also blatently refused to check me in. The rationale was the same: "Sir, our room tariff is Rs.1300. You booked through OYO for half the price.". When did any of this become my fault? After a 20-minutes battle with OYO (see my google review for OYO), they offered me a cashback of Rs.500 on my wallet. And I had to pay it forward in cash to the receptionist. Now, suddenly, the staff became warm. As if I'd just been converted from foe to friend. The only positives were the room and bathroom. Which were both spacious and adequate. That said, the room service and staff attitude were terrible. I had to wait for 3 hours just to get a couple of Parathas for lunch. Imagine! The staff behaved like zombies who don't know why they're there. The seemed ignorant of anything related to the property and needed to contact the manager. Extra charges and taxes were added at the last minute to my bill. The most frustrating was, perhaps, my check-out. I had to leave early in the dawn to catch my ride to Tawang. I'd informed them in the evening and they said they wouldn't lock the gates, or even if they did, they would keep the keys in the reception. To my utter frustration, these boys not only locked 2 gates, they kept the keys with themselves. And they were fast asleep in some room that I didn't know! After a hopeless 15-20 minutes of knocking and calling the manager, they finally got up (god knows why they took so long or what they were doing inside). Overall, a very disappointing experience. Go at your own peril. P.S. Do NOT book through OYO.
