Hotel Gateway Shillong - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

Stayed for multiple times in this hotel during our trips Shillong. The location is extremely good (vear near to Police Bazar) & rooms are clean as well as spacious. Rooms in the front side had a beautiful view. However it is little costly in my opinion. Room rent was in the range of 4000-4500 per night while we visited in the last month.

I stayed here for one night and the experience was absolutely pathetic. The AC in the was not working, which made it extremely suffocating to even stay in the room. The geyser in the washroom was not working. The restaurant was quite unhygienic. The evacuation plan for safety put up in my room was for the second floor, while I was staying in the first. Lastly, the staff seemed way too casual and uninterested.

Everything about this hotel is great except service which is worst. The staff is way too casual and lazy and disinterested. The location of the hotel is good very near to the main market area of Shillong that is Police Bazaar. The hotel has a parking area as well in the basement. The rooms & washrooms are quite spacious. Each room has an AC which indeed is needed for people travelling to Shillong during summer. However, the service is worst. The staff there are simply not bothered and way too slow and casual. The hotel is very costly as well and is not worth the money they charge.

Value for money Hotel. Many options for eating and shopping nearby this place and co-operative staff too .

Complimentary breakfast has a wide spread, though we didn't try most of the food in the regular menu but whatever was tried was good and quantity was sufficient..wifi speed is also good.. Room has modern amenities but may need maintenance as fridge, telecom were not working.. Staff is friendly and helpful..

Very good hotel. Rooms are bit small but very well organised. They're good at service. Breakfast needs to be improved a bit with corn flakes, bread and some fruits etc lift is dangerous and it gets stuck in between so be careful.

Neat and Clean rooms. Staff are cordial, good room services.
