This is the best stay option if you find stay with a view of a river. Yes, this place is quite expensive but best and authentic place. Beautiful painting was hanging on walls, and historical and unique showcases are there. Foods was also so tasty. I love the coffee.

We absolutely loved the place, especially the location and the accessibility. (10/10 rooftop view and stunning interiors) The staff was very courteous and the food was amazing! special shoutout to Kashi and her three little kittens, she made my stay there better!

Wi-Fi worked very poorly if at all. The shower was so moldy it was stomach-turning to take a shower. The staff understood very little English which made things difficult. (They cater to English speaking tourists so it would helpful if they spoke more fluent English). But the location is great!

Excellent experience. We are a family of four who stayed for 3 nights. The property is run by the owner himself. Very helpful gentleman. He is very knowledgeable on art related matters and even otherwise. His team Prakash , Akash, Ramanuj are very helpful. The entire property is a heritage property with beautiful paintings and artifacts. Being practically on the ghat has its advantages. Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat is a stones throw away. Being very close to Ghat , you have to walk the last 50 metres from parking. But call up the Reception and they will send their staff. The reception can connect you with the right set of people who can make your varanaai trip a pleasure. Strongly recommended. Caution. Elderly people with wheel chair needs will find this this place difficult to manage. Thanks to Ganges View, we had an excellent vacation and memorable Darshan.

We've got an amazing accommodation, Hotel Ganges View - yes, bang opposite the Ganges and steps above Assi Ghat. It's a picture-perfect spot. Must admit that the owner of the 200+ year old hotel has rich taste. The artifacts and the interiors are pure heritage and hand picked. Every room has a thematic decor and every portrait tells a story. Every landing is adorned with rich painting and there are lounge areas around every room. The dining area not only fills your stomach but your soul with its tastefully done decor. There's an open courtyard with a nice garden in the second floor, overlooking the Ganges. All the pictures of outside view are taken from the lounge area of our room. The morning sunrise from there is so soothing to look at. While the rooms are heritage in nature, the bathroom is full of modern amenities. The food is so yummy that I ate two dinners in one night! The owner Mr Shashank Singh is a very interesting person to converse with as he can regale stories and enrich us with his vast and varied knowledge. I rave so much about this boutique hotel because it's cozy and beautiful. If you ever go to Varanasi, check in there. Inbox me for contacts. (No, I don't get a commission!)

I changed my initial review (the initial review only given because of the balcony view) and have now decided to give this hotel a one star simply because of the reply given. The owner of the hotel deliberately took out the caps lock from t in thank you whilst it was there on all other review replies. Whilst I understand this may seem like a petty nit-pic to some, you have to deliberately take the caps lock out the first letter when starting to type no matter what device or software it may be. They clearly did this to let me know I'm no one special to them. This is enough to show you that the hotel owners are Hindu extremist zealots who do not wish to do any business with Indian religious minorities like myself and I thank them for letting me know this. Apart from Non-Indian origin foreigners, If you like me are an Indian non-Hindu AVOID this place as this company doesn't want you in their hotel.

The best Heritage Property I have ever stayed at. Hotel Ganges view is run by the most compassionate & Kind people. Shashank Sir ( The owner) is so humble & it reflects on his staff too. They are so courteous & kind & always ready to help. Service at it's best. Freshly cooked home meals are a highlight of the place. You feel like a royalty staying here. Stupendous view of Maa Ganga from the hotel. The Hotel feels like no less than a museum itself. Full of most beautiful paintings & artefacts I have ever seen. I stayed here for 4 days & still couldn't have enough of it. The aura & the vibe is so heart touching. I would recommend this Heritage Haveli over any overrated properties in Varanasi. A must stay for Art & Music lovers!!
