We stayed there for two days and we took ground level room , Only positive thing is location , you can enjoy wide range of Mount Kanchanjunga from your room or bed. Apart from that room was not neat and clean blanket and floor mattress were very dirty and unhygienic. The food they served from their canteen was overpriced.
But they behaved politely and tried their best to served us.
We had excellent stay at Hotel Dolphin Darjeeling. Stuffs were very polite & cooperative. Mountain view room has excellent view.
One of the best locations in Darjeeling from where one can see the entire Sleeping Buddha Range. The hotel has total 10rooms including family rooms. 4 rooms have mountain view. Rooms are very clean and cozy. Some of the rooms do not have any wardrobe and the bathroom is quite small. Otherwise it is must stay place. Local sight seeing is at walking distance from here.
Short stay but nice one. Location was too good as well as the hospitality by the manager Mr. Gouranga Pal. Nice behaviour as well as promt service.
Stayed 4 days. They given room downstair. Rooms are small. Not properly maintain. Water condition very poor. Water flow in barhroom very slow.They took extra charges for room heater. Canteen area very small. Not having any proper food hotel nearby. Their own canteen food not up to mark and very overpriced. Only have 2-3 breakfast item only.They took 4480rs with GST. It is vey overpriced as per faclity provided. Room rent should be around 2000rs not more than that.
This is a really good place to stay in darjeeling. It's not exactly situated in mall area. It is very near to mall area. Max 7min distance from mall just beside the rajbhawan.
Foods are also good and staffs are very cooperative.
If you visit Darjeeling, I'll strongly recommend you all to stay here in Hotel Dolphin. Not only for its priced and peaceful location, but for its rooms also it is highly appreciable. The view of the majestic Kanchenjunga from each room is really incomparable to anything else. Courteous staff and sumptuous foods are the cherry on the top. You will feel at home here.
Cons: extremely ill maintained rooms, dirty blankets, and room floor. Thankfully the bathroom was functional & comparatively clean. The dining room is very small, cramped, and can fit hardly 6 adults. The washroom adjacent to the dining area is straight out of a horror story.
One of the rooms didn't have a proper ventilation closing flap and that made a gateway for a lot of insects to creep in.
Pros: Right on the Mall road. Room service and food is good.
