Can't say about rooms because I didn't stay but the food.... damn. The chef is a master, the spice level, the freshness, the taste! Their Chicken Korma and mushroom masala is a must try! Or should I say everything on the menu? Can't speak for all items but do enjoy a plate of rice, tawa roti and chicken korma if you can! All the staff is really nice!
Only thing I didn't like was their behaviour towards serving the driver. They give food to the drivers at last, only after you start eating and there's not much time left. That's bad hospitality. If you don't want to, then don't serve them. No one is forcing you...
the staff was so rude they did not behaved well and provided services not in good behave. My suggestion is to change the staff specially house keeping the kitchen service boy the receptions person was good The atmosphere of your hotel will improve they don't know how to talk behave respect and improve your food taste
I stayed at hotel Dhroov in last week of may 2023 and took valley room without breakfast. Hotel Dhroov is good hotel.Pros:1. Valley Rooms are big and the view is brilliant from outside.2. The service is very good and staff is polite in answering all our queries.Whatever we required they were always helpful and supportive. No rudeness at all which was big plus.3. The lunch food was good. I didn't try their breakfast so can't comment on that.4. You get 24 hrs hot water and cleaning happens daily.5. Parking facility is there for cars so that is big plus.6. For late checkout also they accommodated which was big plus.7. Lift is there big plusCons:1. Although the location is good which is near to mall road(15 mins walk) which is main attraction of shimla, for senior citizens 60 + it is difficult to climb because first you need to climb up the road( around 100-200 mtrs) which is very risky as the vehicles keep coming and going and it's busy road, then you need to climb the stairs (around 20) and the most toughest part is after stairs, you need to again climb up the steep slope which is around 100 mtrs and then you reach lakkar bazaar market at top and then ridge. This slope is steep and there is no support as well. Also it was raining that time so imagine slope will be too slippery and climbing on that. So when we addressed this issue, they told you can take a cab towards mall road lift which was around 3-4 kns from there. But the cost of the cab is Rs 400 one way which is too expensive. Imagine taking cab to and fro Rs 800 daily. And you have no option but to take cab because you can't walk in that road else vehicles will hit you its so risky. So for senior citizens, not much option either climb up or pay 400.if they could have provided complimentary pickup and drop from hotel to Mall road lift at this price then it would have been better at this price atleast for senior citizens.2. The furniture looks a bit old and Almirah also the handle was broken so if they can renovate it would be better.So point no 1 is very important for me and hence I am giving 4 stars because of the risk involved. For people who have their own vehicles, I think it's best hotel but for people like us who have no vehicles, it's better to either get hotel right at mall road or hotel near to mall lift or else compromise with above point no 1.spacious big rooms and clean

Great location, good hotel. But some basic items were missing. We have to call service for these things. They provided in less time. But these things should be there as necessity which is already included in their room facilities.
