Hotel Devdar Khajjiar - Hotel in Khajjiar - Chamba, India

My advice would be to stay in Dalhousie than in Khajjiar. It's very quiet at night and not safe for drivers in case they choose to sleep in car parked outside given hotel's dormitory in not in good shape for them to use. Even you will feel lonely if the occupancy is low when you visit. Other than hotel staff you won't find anyone else. If you reach Khajjiar after 12 pm in noon then it makes sense to stay or else plan to reach early morning and leave by noon. The rooms on second floor has balconies and hence offers a good view. Though the balconies are occupied by monkeys so you might not get to enjoy it all the time.

Delux Rooms are euipped with very old and dirty furniture. Quilts provided were dirty. Food was also not good. Overall experience was unsatisfactory.

Excellent location perfect view for what desire for a perfect night-out. Good room service and a friendly atmosphere from the hotel staff aswell.

We stayed at khajji cottage. Life time experience. Atmosphere was excellent we enjoyed a lot.

Stay was pleasant and comfortable. The view from the rooms was outstanding. The rooms were huge and comfortable. Food was good. Hospitality of the staff is worth mentioning . The valley is just a few steps ahead so one can very well understand the location of the hotel. Would highly recommend.

Best of both worlds. Top service, food and location! We were five friends so i talked to the staff on phone and discuss the planned booking and the staff, Mr Hemraj was very upfront and helped quickly by suggesting to book a family suit which was less costly than two rooms and was also quite relevant to our needs. Room was very spacious and everything was perfect from balcony view to garden to entire front view of Khajjiar ground. There may be too many hotels in Khajjiar but without a doubt the government one takes the crown. Oh the service was really really fast and amiable. The food was excellent. The quantity was more than what we hopes for. Just order half of every meat dish on menu and you will know yourself. Totally it was one of the most beautiful experience i ever had! Special thanks to all the always-smiling-staff and smooth and calm service man Gabor Ram and the excellent chef in background.
