Hotel Dev Chhaya - Hotel in Majkhali, Someshwar Range - Almora, India

So we booked 2 rooms in this hotel for 3 days..rooms are pretty , but they have just 6 rooms in hotel . We left the hotel after spending just 1 night here because there was literally no one in the hotel with us , no staff, no security....just nobody was present in the hotel for our security...They will not provide water even , just one bottle they provide per room ,and after that we had to buy water from there restaurant and night that also was not available. Thirdly,Staff will bang your door repeatedly and will ring the door bell continuously till you open the door. Fourthly, It's too isolated and dark around the hotel during night, scary it is . We were too scared to stay that we left the hotel early mornings and that time also nobody was there too even take the room keys. Pathetic experience, just room were pretty.

The hotel is located at the centre of the town. Food is good and rooms are also good. The best part is that you can enjoy your meal in an open restaurant with mountains.

Amazing experience, stopped in for lunch and was beyond happy with the service! Arrived as guests, left as family! Will be booking a hotel here the next time we are in Majkhali. Wish we found this before our homestays. 5-star experience, 10/10 recommend. Such delicious food and amazing service. Very clean and beautiful property. The best in Majkhali.

Dine In was a good experience!! Takeaway bad experience. Had ordered chicken noodles somewhere around last month, but there were no Chicken pieces or chunks in the noodles only for loads of capsicum and onions, thought might have been a silly mistake so I let it go. Ordered egg fried and chicken noodles today, turned out noodles had no chicken again . Once I understand, Twice cannot be a mistake. When you are charging hefty please be mindful to fulfill orders being placed for takeaways.

Stay is good. Views from the room are beautiful. Staff is responsive.

The people who run the place are super nice and accommodating! This is a family friendly place, including for pets. The food is very good too. We just came here for lunch! We ordered local kumaoni cuisine and Pizza. The Pizzas were freshly prepared and kids loved it. The kumaoni cuisine was great as well. The place has a good vibe! The persons running it are amazing!

Been to this place after seeing good reviews, sorry but my experience been just opposite. I hardly give low rating, until unless it's been real painful. - First, Waiting haul for food was too long...though number of guests were very few. Second, They will give you generic answers like we make fresh, don't serve old food, staff went out etc etc....Third, food very average as per the price been charged. Suggestion :- Please don't forget to check your bill clearly, else you might end up paying more/extra. Shall suggest you to visit Ranikhet Club Or West View - you will get better ambience and amazing food with hospitality. This place is having potential to be good as located centrally, provided can be run properly
