Hotel Degrand Malabar [3 Star Hotel] - Hotel in Kozhikode - Kozhikode, India

Neat and clean rooms, check in and check out was smooth. Very clean and neat reception and lobby area. Direct access to rooms from the parking. Receptionist was polite and helpful. Completely water was kept in the room. Snacks was chargeable. Coffee maker was available. The only downside was, entry of the hotel is through parking area and there is a bar at the ground floor. I am not sure about any other entry to the hotel but I could see Localities getting down from the bar and walking around the parking area. Please Note:- As I always say, I give my reviews honestly, according to my personal experience and I'm not influenced by any means. Others might have a different experience. Male receptionist was good in communication and service. The female receptionist was not good enough with customers, Her talk with customers looks rude. Rooms were not clean and ready worth full to the money paid to them. Screen hooks were worn out here and there. Brush stand was not available at bathroom. Bedspreads were not cleaned well;while check in only, seen hairs above the white bedsheets. Eventhough we have informed to clean the rooms, dustbins were kept without cleaning, informed again to clean it. Complimentary water bottles of one litres are also given after requests. Eventhough AC rooms, Mosquitos are filled at rooms befor check in only. Ceramic cups are covered with dusts. Mirror table drawer is damaged and makes sound while opening and closing. As bedspreads were marked with some stain by us, They made us to pay the price of bedspreads and towel giving the reason of they have to buy new one as they can't be washed eventhough it can be done. They make us to pay around 2500/-. They have not provided the bill of them eventhough requested. Over-all review: Before giving any rooms to checkin for new customers, it has to cleaned and checked well. As staffs can't take any decision without the consent of owner, Better to make communication with owner who handles all when the queries about making extra payments. They had kept non working cooler inside the room. They have did good job by keeping kettel for boiling water to drink and to make coffee or tea. Walkable distance from the KSRTC bus stand which is very convenient for passengers who travel through buses. It has facilities of parking also. It has hotel at first floor, but price is High with less quantity. Better to have outside at Sagar or Meriya or nearby hotels around Bus stand which is lesser distance of about 300 m.

Very near to bus stands, Well maintained rooms. Breakfast also good. I stayed here two three times but in the last visit I have seen some small cockroaches coming out from the bathroom door gaps.

We came here in medical emergency,with my one year old kid, It was very kid friendly ,plus the staff and location is perfect everything is walkable distance It's very clean,and hygynic also in a very reasonable rate they provide u all kind of services , Owner of the hotel to every staff everyone is polite and helpful Wonderful stay we are having , don't judge or rate it with other reviews which are not adequate. so nice place to stay... so calm and beautiful place... neat and clean room and bathroom... good service... lovely behaviour... near to private and ksrtc stand... only suggestion is, please provide tissues in the room calmness... cleanliness... service and behaviour... facilities... chocolates

The hotel was nice. Good staff behaviour. Easy to locate. Good service. The security was also very helpful. The only problem that I faced was there was a foul smell inside the bathroom and hot water was dirty during night. Overall it was a good stay. Thank You. Even the hotel is situated in the center of the city, privacy is not compromised. Suitable for couple stay.

Lovely place, the rooms were very clean and odor free. they gave us very good care. everything was neat and clean. The building looks beautiful. atleast some people have the sense to make good architecture. they have dining facility also there. Will definitely recommend. Safety security and comfort. Discretion. They provided extra Dental kit for us.
