Hotel City Palace Residency - Hotel in Wandoor - Malappuram, India

I had an over night stay at this place recently. Pros: 1. Very reasonable rates. This may be one of the low budget options available in the area. The cost of my stay was much less than what was quoted by various online booking web sites. 2. Friendly staff (the hotel is running with a thin line of staff). I had made telephone inquiries before hand. Good response, and they had recorded my booking request as well. 3. The room (non A/C, single occupancy) was spacious, and well lit up. There was running water (cold) always available. The hotel also had good parking space available. Cons: 1. No Wi-Fi except at the lobby. "Every one has a Jio"; was the reason given. 2. The Cable TV & Intercom system was not working. With only 1-2 staff available, the guest need to walk down to the reception to pass on any request. 3. The hotel does not have a restaurant running on premise, so food etc. have to be ordered in advance, and the staff would get them. The hotel has a "run down" & "deserted" feel to it. It is "under maintenance", is what the receptionist told.

A very gud place to stay.. rooms are clean. The Air Conditioners are not upto standards. Overall, a decent place to stay for a day or two. There are restaurants nearby for the late snack or early coffee coz the pantry here is not that great.

service is not upto the level for price. 2050(incl tax) is bit high.. additional bed requested was without bedsheet when provided. Room bathroom lock was not functioning properly. even though appearance looks good from outside, service offered was not professional when compaired to to the rate

Rooms are pretty humid. Stinky smell from the lobby all the way to the room. A full swing bar that opens in the early hours of the day and open till mid night, where theentire town comes for a drink. Being offered whiskey and touchings when asked for lunch. Not a good place to be on your vacation or a business trip. At least, there was a room with hot water shower and iron box, hence the two stars.

Good neat place to stay but there is no restaurant for travelers and it's even difficult to get a cup of coffee. People staying here have to travel to wandoor town for food.

Terrible experience. Room look neat , but bad odour and couldn't stay there.

City palace recidency the only one hotel with restaurant and a/c rooms in Wandoor, average and quiet rooms, vehicle entry into hotel is little difficult ,there have parking space but entry road is narrow
