Visited with friends and found It is a good place to visit if you are a nonveg lover.. they offer cooking for your meat. It's like a dhaba but the ambiance is ok. Preferably visit it during the day time. You have to bring meat (Chicken/mutton) which you will get in front of the hotel and they will cook it for you in a pressure cooker with very nominal cost. You will get hard drinks and chilled beer (ultra Max also available) as well and also they serve chakhna and other food items. But there is no large amount of items you will get but if you are from Gujarat then you can visit it as it's nearby. No option for stay only huts are there to dine in. You can try Rotla and rice with a nonveg dish.
Good atmosphere and service not good
Out of all my Indian travels, this is the only place I absolutely HATED. The atmosphere is basically a festival and fun place for kids and families. Cool. What's not cool is the atrocious treatment of the animals at this place. The elephant has had its tusks removed and is basically existing. You can tell it's absolutely miserable. The camels and horses have had their mouths tied shut. I'm sure this is to prevent them from biting but it's unacceptable. One camel had a wedge shoved in its mouth and then its mouth tied so tightly all it could do was squeak a little. It made me sick to my stomach. Camels used for camel rides are forced to stand up and kneel over and over and over. No walking or resting. Just tourist after tourist for pictures. You cannot tell me this isn't abusive. By dinner, I was nauseous. Hindus believe in not harming living things. I wish I could say I saw this at Chokhi Dhani. IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS, DO NOT VISIT HERE.
