Hotel Chevron Rosemount, Ranikhet - Hotel in Ranikhet - Almora, India

Room was very big and spacious, food was very flavourful. The location was serene and peaceful. The view of the mountains were absolutely amazing and overall experience was very nice. We look forward to visiting here again soon.

Most beautiful and romantic place to stay in Ranikhet which will transport you back to 19th Century...you wake up to the sound of beautiful parrots, sparrows and other birds and catch them playing in the lawn... spectacular view of Himalaya from the property....take my words this property is no less than a dream... dreamt it is.

I am usually HYPER CRITICAL, so take my opinions easy. The place is super charming. We came for an early dinner, the options were a bit limited so we settled for snacks. The LOCATION is king with this place, the gardens are well curated. It could do with a better upkeep in upholstery and furnishings etc. Arvind is a good host. The food options could be a bit more. Will update the next time we are here.

The property looks and appears haunted.. We were on a leisure trip with some colleagues and had been there the previous year during the same time (when I am posting this review) Rooms are dimly lit, almost being in the middle of a forest, you are cut off from the outside world as there is hardly any internet connectivity at this location. The entire night there was squeaking sounds of the wooden floor (from someone else's room) and a constant tapping sound from the wooden arcs of the ceiling....much to our surprise, there was no rain or snowfall which had happened but the constant tapping of the ceiling felt as a scene from some old Bollywood scary movie. My colleague and I also tried to understand if there was a leakage in the washroom but nothing could be found.....surprisingly, the tapping sound vanished on its own with the first ray of light!! I had some uncanny personal experience at midnight that I can't and don't want to share here publicly but I am sure that there is an eerie feeling about this place. My colleague and I, who shared the room for the night and who also has a very strong intuitive personality felt extreme negative vibes upon entering the room (maybe the room was a chosen one) Just to clarify about the room being spoken of- It's on the first level and to be precise, it's located on the right (on level 1) if you take the spiral iron ladder from the reading room and climb up.

Amazing stay with our team. Vintage rooms with beautiful view, well maintained property. Staff were very cooperative and the food was amazing.

Its a old place, but very nice. Small issues are always there, but location, Ambience, service mask those issues. As usual carry all the stuff u need, since location is lonely, market is also very far, not possible to arrange anything that may be needed. Food is good, staff is very polite n cooperative. Veg, non veg, local food also very nice. Playing options for kids also. Only Airtel n BSNL work. For all others wifi is the way of communication. A cool n nice place to relax. Just listen to the birds... I was very happy with Chevron Rosemount.

This property is located at Mall Road where all the Old Grant Bungalows are. Definitely recommendable to those who loves serenity and secluded place. It is far from the hustle bustle of the city. But one can witness serenity and nature lovers will love it. They have big garden, separate play area for kids, billiards room and there is Trekking and Walking path through the woods. There are some resident dogs who are friendly and loveable. If you are a keen bird watcher, wake up early in the morning to spot pheasants coming to the garden for food and water. There are other birds coming throughout the day. The best way to relax is sit on the reclining chairs in their garden and soak sun and watch birds mainly babblers and Himalayan dove, Indian Tree pies to come and eat their food and drink water. Rooms are spacious. We were in Suite which doesn't have a balcony but when there is lovely garden u actually don't need balcony. Food is delicious. The chef is really good in every type of food and they feed u with wholesome food. Overall we had a great experience and will recommend to anyone visiting Ranikhet.
