Hotel Casa by the lake - Hotel in Udaipur - Udaipur, India

While booking, the only point of attraction was the roof top restaurant and it was as expected. However, the rooms were a bit disappointment. The rooms are ok for a solo traveler as the space is not sufficient if you're with family and I mean more than 1 person, it'll be difficult to move around. But the best take away is the manager, Mr. Santosh Soni, who's accommodative attitude, makes up for the small rooms. He is always ready to help you and go an extra-mile to get things done. This is also true for the staff of this hotel. All and all, our stay was pleasant, barring the rooms.

Amazing view from the top of restaurant, tight n city centre can be a bit difficult to get there as it's uphill but plus point is that most tourist attractions are walkable. Friendly staff especially manager Santosh Ji extremely helpful as I forgot my document over there so he sent it back to me as well as they are dog friendly.

Location is probably the only reason why one would book the hotel. The hotel images posted on the web is a facade, it looks nothing like it. Cost wise they charge a bomb and provide nothing in terms of facilities. Rooms are dirty, hotel is cramped. It's basically an old building converted into a hotel due its proximity to City Palace. Food quality and taste are pathetic. Hotel service is poor. They do not have pick up service like other hotels in Udaipur, it's also uphill, so can be a task reaching there. Staff is very rude. Totally not recommended.

The best part of this place is its location. Many of the important tourist destinations like lake Pichola, City palace, Bagore ki haveli etc are within a few hundreds of meters from this place. Many other tourist spots are witihn 1-3 km. In fact, the city palace is just walkable. Here are the cons: 1. Being inside the old city, cab is not allowed till the hotel. you will have to catch an auto to reach the hotel beyond a point. 2. Small rooms with no view 3. Almost zero service 4. The terrace cafe doesn't have the charm that many nearby ones have

The hotel is average for the stay..Manager Santosh is a very helpful person..room size is very small with basic amenities. Complementary breakfast is with very limited options.. if u want some extra in complementary breakfast option they denied.Good view from the rooftop restaurant but with limited menu.

Very bad room, small size room with no view. The rooftop view is also not that great. No special item in breakfast except poha. Except the roof top view which we anyways get if we book any restaurant with view there is nothing great. Please do not consider this hotel. We went there based on good reviews posted here but it seems all are paid reviews

Very nice hotel nearby City palace and affordable price . Best part morning and night view of rooftop is awesome. and receptionist Mr.Santosh ji is very nice person and guide us properly to visit Local udaipur sightseeing. It was a amazing experience , Jagdish mandir 200 meters, city palace 100 meters, gangour Ghat 300 meters. Overall a Good Stay. Trip type - couple.

Rooftop view is nice. Except that I didn't find anything good. Room is too small, it gives you feel of OYO spot on rooms. If you take bath you room will be filled with water. Dirty bed. Torned towel. About food less I say, it will be better. Even on roadside you will get 100x better than that. Also beviour is also not good. We asked about pick up and they denied.
