It was a nice stay with you. Actually i have given 4 star on an average because i believe there is always a scope of betterment but with my second thought i changed review about location and bettered it to 5 due to proximity of Dal lake and more because of the view of shankaracharya temple in the lush green back drop of big mountains. Thanks .
Good hotel with big rooms . Bit old construction though. Staff is very good and friendly, 10 on 10 for them. Location is excellent just 200 meters from Dal lake. Surrounding is bit noisy.
My family stayed at Hotel Brown Palace and were very pleased with the stay. Great Location - right next to Dal lake. Lush green mountains in the backdrop. Spacious and clean rooms. Hot water available 24/7. My family enjoyed their buffet dinner the most. Delicious!! Mr. Naseer Dar, Manager of Brown Palace, was particularly helpful and ensured we had a pleasant stay. Looking forward to staying here again on our next visit.
Hotel Brown Palace was indeed a really good experience for my family. The hotel is very easily accessible right next to dal Lake and has a beautiful view right in front with the mountain where you can relax peacefully. The staff are very professional kind and caring and the food is just amazing. The hotel provides hot water round the clock and is very beautifully designed with wood finish giving it a rich look. The rooms are spacious and quite clean and I had a good experience at this hotel overall. Would definitely recommend this hotel and the food was especially good.
The breakfast had very less options with only 2-3 options that too with low standard food cooked in bad quality oil. The staff is unresponsive and no request is entertained here. Also, we had booked deluxe room, but this 3 star hotel doesn't have AC in these rooms.
Nice hotel near dal lake. Specially their new building. We love their service. MR AAHIL who was taking care of room service is such a nice person & professional person. He never said no to anything we asked even middle of night by family. We love kashmir & people like aahil who represent it Hope to stay here soon again

Pros * Very supportive and generous staff. Special mention to Mr. Ahil Khan who went beyond his job to arrange medicine and other errands for my little daughter in late night. He also ensured that all our requests are timely satisfied. * Hotel has good open space to breath within the hotel premises * Amazing view of mountains * Good location, walking distance (100 mtr approx) from dal lake * TV was not working so staff replaced it with other one. Cons * Some old and not very clean stuff in the washrooms.
