Hotel Biryani Paradise - Biryani restaurant in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

One of the most hyped street foods that i was compelled to visit from all the insta reels that popped in my feeds but was it worth the hype? Not much i would say, their prawn vada was extremely salty and hard to chew, it was like a rubber. Despite my awful personal experience, I witnessed people were frenzied about those rubber vadas so maybe another day, another batch of vada would taste better. Gotta wait for that.

Small place, not posh but food is good. We had mutton biryani and thandoori chicken for lunch (dine-in). Earlier we had packed chicken masala curry for dinner. All the items were tasty and in good quantity, reasonably priced too. I must specifically mention the good dealing of one of the owners who came and talked to us. At night, it tends to get crowded due to the stall outside. Seems to be a favourite place for takeaways. Overall, highly recommended.

This restaurant is situated in a busy Mg street with difficulties for parking, Sunday street market no parking.

We went to this hotel at night at 7.30 pm and ordered 2 chicken biryani and half tandoori, but the quality of the biryani was too poor. It was prepared yesterday or in the morning but they were saying it was fresh biryani. One of their employees said that it was prepared at 4pm and the other said that it was prepared at 6.30 pm. Highly disappointed as it was one of our favorite hotels earlier.

We headed there as it was located hear the hotel we stayed in. It's a small place with 3 family coupes and 3 tables to seat 4. It was simple, a bit cramped and could do with a face-lift to create a warm and welcoming ambience. The host/owner was cordial and assured us that the biriyani was a hit. Hence we ordered mutton biriyani, steamed rice and some spicy semi-gravy prawns. The food was freshly cooked, really really tasty biriyani and so was the prawn gravy. The portions were decent...we left satisfied and full.

It is very popular, on every Sunday there will be a rush.. because of macrooni, noodles, fish finger, chatt foods.. but the thing is they can't allow in to have food.. they have to maintain this and we have to carry the food by own and have to eat in outside.. But for food it's worthy I say

the food is average and the quantity is too low. Arrogant and unwelcoming behavior of the staff and and person at the billing counter. just because they earned a name in the past does not mean they can behave arrogantly to the customers.
