This place is one of the best restaurants to try fish for first timers. Specially catla fish at its best and fish kabab so juicy with complete fresh fish meat. Also you get beer and if you carry your own booze if you would like to have fish with your favourite drinks. Fish and beers combination are the best at this place. Main courses are akki roti with fish curry and a little steamed rice to finish your perfect meal. Fish head masala is on top demand. It's like hot movers.

My parents took me to this place on my trip to India. It's a small, quaint, unassuming place but let that not deter you from experiencing the most delicious river fishes. We had the Gowri fish along with Kori roti and finally finished the meal with some rice and fish curry. It's fair enough to say that - I will definitely be going back the next time I am here. Delicious.

A must visit place when you're travelling to chikkamangaluru or Shivamogga. They don't have a huge variety in their menu. It's very limited yet delicious. We had Rohu & Gowri fish fry and Akki roti along with fish curry. You could also ask them to bring you bottled beers! ;)

This place is only suitable for drinkers The food and fish is good but you will not get respect and food service. We went as two people seated at the table at the same time five persons came so they asked us to compromise the table. I don't know what logic is this. Bad experience.

Very Good Hotel. Little interior from main Road. Taste is super. Fishes are fresh. Economy price pocket friendly. Place is small. Have to wait. For family okay but avoid drinks.

Dont miss this place if you were on the way from shivamogga to thirthahalli, situated next to lake infront of lake! Place is easily accessible. This hotel is famous for fresh water fishes and I tried gauri tawa fry(5/5), owl fish fry,( 4/5), fish head with sambar (5/5) - 3 to 4 ppl can eat one head that much big in size! Akki roti with fish saaru & kaayi chatni (5/5) You can take drinks as well, and family rooms were also available

For a person hailing from Kerala, who have been eating fish from childhood, Hotel Bhavani was such a pleasant surprise. I always had this notion that sea fish has a superior taste than non saline fishes. Damn wasn't I wrong !! Go there, order fish fry with Akki Rotti....
