Hotel Balaji Inn - Hotel in Thanjavur - Thanjavur, India

I recently had a stay at this hotel, and I must say, it was quite disappointing. The first impression was a poor welcome. There was no hospitality whatsoever, and it felt like they were not interested in making their guests feel comfortable. One of the most frustrating experiences was when I asked for a room for my friends to refresh by paying the necessary fee, but they refused despite having plenty of unoccupied rooms. They claimed that the rooms were already cleaned and couldn't be cleaned again. This lack of flexibility and customer service was disheartening. Moreover, they suggested using the staircase instead of the lift, even though there was a lift available. This kind of service is not what you expect from a decent hotel. The room itself had several issues. There was no working AC, and the fan only operated on high speed, making it uncomfortable. The lack of proper ventilation and sunlight added to the suffocating atmosphere. Not to mention, there was a mosquito problem in the room, which made the stay even more unpleasant. The washroom was tiny and poorly maintained, which added to the overall disappointment of the hotel. The parking lot was like a messy storage area, untidy and unorganized. They also had the habit of locking the parking lot, which made it inconvenient for guests like me who had to search for staff to open it every time I wanted to take out my car. Furthermore, there was no food availability at the hotel, and they lacked basic ironing facilities. It's safe to say that this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

A/C : In spite of all the reviews complaining about A/C, I booked the hotel thinking it should not be an issue. But that WAS the problem. The ac is centralized although the thermostat setting is provided in the room it is useless. If you switch off one reception can switch on. It became too cold and you cannot reduce neither switch off. Blanket: With clear three people booking ,the cost was double cot no extra cot nor there was space for it. Esp they provided only one and when asked due to shivering ac they said they don't have extra blanket Parking: Good undergrpund parking Service: Without food there is nothing much to say about service. We stayed for just 1 night and the next morning we checked out. Hot water is available. Nearby Annalakhsmi hotel is not so good. Location: quite away from city center near new busstand.

Room is good and neat. Bathroom is little bit congusted. Service is very good. Negative: AC is cooling, you need to switch on fan also. If you need good cooling, pls don't go there . Entrence to the hotel is confusing.

It's okay hotel. Will not recommend for families. Tasmac and other bars nearby and hotel staffs seen drunken most of the times. It's issue with TN government on allowing Tasmac to run just outside of Tanjore New busstand were families and children's pass frequently everyday Definitely you can't expect decency from these drinking people

Worst Service I have ever seen therir is no proper power supply in some room and it was reported to management bot no proper response from him so don't waste money by booking this hotel...

Decent hotel with 24 hr checkin with compound touching to new bus stand. Supportive staff. Only drawback no in house restaurant, however nearby annapoorna hotel is decent. Noticed nearby local bar and restaurant. Axis bank, SBI, Kotak atm , medplus and many nearby chai points. Rooms are big enough and clean. Would recommend for families. Directions call reception for hotel booking than online.

-The hotel is located just besides the bus stand and has a perfect underground car parking area. -Room was spacious and had all the required things. -We paid around 2.5k for 2 non ac rooms per night which I feel is a good deal compared to other hotels.
