Took room @ 3rd floor. Worst experience ever in my life. No Hygiene. Full of bedbugs. Roof made of metal sheet it seems. Don't opt for this lodge for any reason whatsoever.
Service was good... room was OK bathroom was bad.. old bed cover bed sheet was not provided.. but reasonable rate..
Don't take 1st floor rooms without AC. Ashok bhavan hotel kitchen is under so the rooms are full heat for 24 hours.
Went for veg meal. Poor service. Food took so long to serve and only partial order came. Whatever came was horrible to eat, salty noodles, sugary coffee when asked sugarless.

The visit brings me the memories of traveling with my father and other family members to the thiruchendur temple in the year 2017. Nothing has changed in the hotel until this visit in the year 2021. rooms were neatly maintained. The hotel is very near to the temple, so devotees can easily able to reach the temple. the hotel also has a restaurant attached to the ground floor. The food taste has slightly reduced than by prior visit. But it is a hygienic and safe residence. The room rent is a little bit higher I feel, it is around 1000-1500 for 24 hrs. non-ac double bedroom.
There r lot of lodge in the locality and price is also quite similar.. What actually makes a difference is "Hospitality".. And I would rate in "minus" if I could for this lodge.. the reception staff is so arrogant that I saw guests returning back just after enquiry.. #Worststaffever
Food quality is ok...but the service boys attitude is so arrogant....pls don't visit and try for another hotel...
