Hotel Anand Palace - Hotel in Darjeeling - Darjeeling, India

Nice, compact, clean rooms. Curtains were a little in bad condition but thats not what hampers the stay. Room service is good. Staff is very nice and helpful, location is the best. Opp to inox, Domino's. Darjeeling Mall is hardly 5 mins walking. Hot water is available 24*7. A very good thing about this hotel is that there is no water crisis as this is big problem in Darjeeling. The room has complimentary coffee maker in case u decide to sip on a cup of coffee and watch television.

My (family / uncle's family ) were guests at 'Hotel Anand Palace' (5, Dr. S.M. Das Road ,Darjeeling) for 2 days (20.10.18 to 22.10.18) during our trip around the North Eastern Side of India for family vacation. We were highly recommended and we did trust on Mr.Rohit Gupta ,who had stayed there last week and it helped us make our final choice and decision. We felt confident that in choosing a hotel which came highly praised from our close friend was sure to be the vacation we were hoping for. We were assured to get all 4 rooms serially , but upon Check-In, we were told that due to an unexpected over booking, we had no rooms available as per serial wise and hence we were given rooms randomly. The rooms itself were really quite dirty and seemed to have been unused for quite some time; there was a constant damp and mould like smell in the room that gave my mother and other members headache after we checked - in . We complained and were assured that it would be taken care . The room service staffs were miserable as we had to call several times for drinking water and even the linens were dirty and were asked to changed but the housekeeping did not do so and said in return that due to shortage of linen we are not supposed to replace it with fresh one's. Most annoying was the behaviour of the staff as they were mis-behaving with our sister's and were disturbing them during midnight constantly by knocking their doors and by passing abusive and bad comments. This even continued the next day (21.10.18) during the noon time and when we approached to complaint about it , the Front desk personnel started arguing with us and refused to show the CCTV footage . This whole scenario was just speechless and we are not able to express more of it Finally , during Check-out time the bell boys and other staffs were too rude. They were not following our instructions while carrying our luggage , when we asked not to drag the bag they just threw our luggage the mid way and started abusing us. This shows that your hotel doesn't follow or take Hospitality as a real matter and pay respect to guests. The entire experience ruined our stay and we will never be going back to your hotel or recommending it to any of our friends. And I would like to appeal to all that , this property isn't safe for your family tour specially for the women's .

The name of the hotel has been changed to Mount Conifer suites and spa. Somewhat distant from the mall. Nice and courteous staff. But they provide booking in the name of summit hotels which are available in the various websites and promise to offer mountain view rooms. But lets face it there is no mountain view from the hotel as well as from any of the rooms. Other than that the rooms are nice and clean with 24 hrs supply of warm water.

This hotel is right beside the Big Bazaar, and right at the heart of Darjeeling town. Mal road and Darjeeling railstation are walking distance away. Being at the middle of the market, everything is very near. It deserves 5 star rating for its excellent location. The hotel inside looks trendy, and well decorated. The staffs at the reception are well spoken and behaved very nicely. We were warmly welcomed. Hotel has an elevator along with the staircases. It has its own restaurant. Services were great as well. Be it ordering food from restaurant or a call for a hot drinking water, they were readily available. Facilities include Room service, 24 hours hot water, geyser, power back up in cases of a power cut, WiFi, TV with DTH connection. Toiletries were provided in the room. There were arrangements for making a cup of tea. Bedsheet, linens, towels were clean. This is a couple friendly hotel. Unmarried couples are welcomed. Negatives: 1. Being surrounded by buildings, it has no view around. 2. Room heater was not offered. One may have to ask for it separately. 3. Food must be ordered early. One may not get dinner if ordering at 10 pm. 4. No parking of their own. If bringing own car, must come prepared.

Awesome hotel in Darjeeling. It's a bit costly but worthy to your money. Varieties of food with good service. You will get Lift in this hotel, which is an advantage. Restaurant Manager of the hotel is a Kashmiri gentle man Mr. Malik. Who will take care of your food everytime.

If there are options for "no star", I would selecet that option. We were given a room where hot water tap didnot work and that was the time of 5-10th Jan. It was the beginning of January in Darjeeling when there was chilled winter, we asked for room heater, we were ready to pay for that also but they denied straightly to provide the service.The reception staffs are extremely impolite, having unhelpful attitude. The utensils of served mills used to stay outside the room for 2-3 days, no one took it untill we repeatedly inform them. This hotel has a tie up with one nationalised bank. Our booking was through that bank. We told them we will pay additional money as much required but they didn't take the money and forced us to experience hell. Our entire travel experience was ruined due to this 3rd graded hotel. I hope no one experience this ever.

We stayed here for 2 nights... rooms were ok need to do maintenance and house keeping properly... food was average and service was a bit slow...

Anand palace hotel is the best hotel in Darjeeling. Hotel provides good services to their customers. They can adjust the dinner, dreakfast and lunch time as per your schedule for a group of people. Anand palace hotel is located in Darjeeling near to post office. Breakfast timings are from 7-10 in morning, lunch timing are from 12-2pm and dinner is from 9-11pm. During winter season they do provide heater but chargeable @ 300rs per day. There is market near to hotel where one can do shopping, also there is Rink mall where there is CCD, big bazar and Also ATM is available.Overall it was a good experience love it.
