I don't know how old is this restaurant, but I think I visited this restaurant for the first time in 1980. They are still running the restaurant the same location, no change in the interiors or furniture or kitchen and may be same taste. Food is as expensive as similar restaurants in Chennai and Bangalore. Hope they will keep going.
One of the hotels that serves tasty food at pocket friendly prices. You should try their Sambar Vada; Pongal, Onion Rava Dosa which are my favourites. This is a basic Hotel and do NOT expect ambience like a restaurant. Worth the money. A must try for breakfast items.

This is a local Tamil restaurant. You get idli dosa biryani rice etc for dinner. This is kind of a vintage restaurant giving you the 90's feel. You are served on banana leaf the food is awesome and so is pricing. For local experience this is must. You can also buy sweets like gulab jamun, kaju katli etc at the counter.
