Hotel Amrut - Seafood restaurant in Karwar - Uttara Kannada, India

Must have seafood place in Karwar. Hard for me to pick one dish as my favorite amongst all the various seafood items we ordered. Each dish tasted different (in a delicious way) than the next. Finger licking good!!!

Great place, great food! Mr. Bharath ensures that you taste every dish. Their Butter garlic prawn is too good, Dalitoi, Squid fry, Fish curry etc are a few things you shouldn't be missing out on.. Service is good! We visited this place with our friends who just fell in love with the food! Totally worth the money!

I have been visiting Amrut for the past 15 year's. Of late the fish curry did not have the same taste which was being prepared few year's back. Also, the thickness of the gravy has considerably reduced which has affected it's taste. As usual fish was fresh. They have to definitely improve the taste of their preparations to cater to the old timer's.

We visited this restaurant to have lunch on our way to Goa from Karnataka via Karwar. As soon as we got in, the owner of the restaurant came to greet us and offered us suggestions on what to have. Out of generosity he offered us to try a couple of Karwari dishers like Teesra Sukka and Kalwa sukka which were lip smacking. We ordered butter garlic prawns which were delicious!! In veg we had Dal toi with Rice which was a unique dal preparation which I had never tasted before . Overall you cannot go wrong with the menu. It's one of the few restaurants which are still passionate about serving unique recipes to their customers. 100% recommended. You should not miss it if you are traveling via Karwar or planning to stay.

A locally famous and 40+ years old restaurant, this place is known for its seafood options. We had a large family lunch and enjoyed the food. Fairly spacious and comfortable dining area spread over 2 levels let's several people enjoy the delicacies within the limited time that they are open. Thali meals with fish, prawns and a host of fresh fish were available on the menu. The owner ensured that we had a good meal at his place, adding that personal touch to the customer experience.

Over Hyped food !!! Prawn garlic was the best. Snapper ghee fry fish was not to the expectations. Over all an average eatery with good interiors !! As it approaches 3pm, waiters start to hurry to finish off eating early . Did not like it in anyways
