There is a flight of 70 stairs to reach the entrance. You cannot take any vehicle near this place. The rooms are tiny and have no view whatsoever. Does not feel safe for family.
We stayed for 4 days at Amar Villa. Very short climb from hotel to mall road hardly 5 to 7 minutes and those who want to go by lift even that is also at walking distance nearby. We had our 5 year old with us and we walked everyday to Mall road in the evening. We had a very comfortable stay at Amar Villa. Manager Mr Ashwani Kumar is a very soft spoken and down to earth person. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Over all a great stay. We enjoyed our stay..Thank you Hospitality of staff especially the Manager. The location of hotel was very convenient for us. It might be difficult for elderly people to climb the stairs but those who are used to stairs its a great and affordable stay option. We booked a day prior to the long weekend and still got a great and comfortable stay option.
overall stay of hotel was good. staff was cooperative, rooms were also clean and good. we faced one issue that is water, in early morning water came in bathroom after 7.30. also there was little bit of leakage in our bathroom. But this hotel is budget friendly and according to budget it is much better. It is also near to mall road and old bus stand. Budget stay, nice view from hotel, also music channels on, cable tv (personal choice)
Worst experience, unprofessional manager behavior. The manager doesn't have basic sense of how to talk with customer. The very attitude of the manager has annoyed us. It was like we have come all the way to Shimla to get abused by him. Rooms are also not good not at all worth the money
Not good , we had water problem on the day we arrived . Got to know from other customers who were staying from earlier that they always have water issues. There was no fan at all in the room , not even a dustbin. To reach the hotel you have to climb close to 150-200 stairs (which is not mentioned anywhere). They will send some guy to pickup and drop your bags from down (before the stairs) but the guy will Ask for money separately as definitely it's 'not covered' by hotel.
the hotel Amarvilla is worst hotel. i came with family very bad experience spoiled my tour. the hotel is not on road it is 70 to 80 stairs from old bus stand road and 80 to 90 stairs from mall road if u have strong feet then book hotel. there is water supply problem in hotel water come only 7 to 9 morning then other time toilet not allowed. hotel owner is giving 80 rs per cup tea and milk 80 rs per glass and dinner items rate he taken more than the menucard. if u want to enjoy ur tour never book this hotel.
