Hotel Akshaya - Hotel in Chidambaram - Cuddalore, India

The hospitality and service received were excellent. The manager was cheerful and assisted us in promptly assigning our room, even though there was a mistake in the booking for the next day. However, there is room for improvement in the quality of the additional beds. They were infested with bugs, and I ended up with numerous insect bites on my hands. Another issue arose with the availability of hot drinks. We were informed that they would only be served after 7 a.m. when the restaurant opens, which posed a problem as my hungry kids were awake by 6 a.m.

we stayed in a suite room no 301 ... check in 7th and checkout 8th...July 23.....The following are our experiences... 1..The receptionist first offered a room in Villa instead of suite... After insisting, we have been allotted the suite... 2...There was a water logging in bathroom... though they set right, water logging was there throughout our stay.... 3...They started calling from even before 12 noon that we have to check out... they hesitate to give a grace time even for an hour.. Finally we checked out around 1 pm... 4...Though we had no choice, we booked the room... very expensive comparing to the facilities we got.... 5..The staffs other then reception staff are good and cooperative.. The receptionist should be with a smiling face...that was missing totally. 6...Room service was good... 7.A2b at ground floor is an added advantage.... 8.Parking facilities are good.... overall we rate 6 out iof 10

Without any expectations I happened to stay here in Hotel Akshaya ! Surprisingly it turned out so good of an experience. The bathroom was super clean, the bedsheets were fresh, the air conditioner and the television were working properly and overall the room was so cozy and comfortable during my stay. If only I could visit Chidambaram again, this place would be my first choice to stay !

They were responsive to my requests and made me feel welcomed, which contributed positively to my experience. I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing and frustrating stays I've ever had. From the moment I made the booking, things started to go downhill. The front office staff (Durga and Suganya) were incredibly rude and unhelpful, and it became evident that they had no intention of delivering on the promises they made before I made my payment. Before I arrived, I called the hotel to confirm certain amenities, and I was assured that everything I needed would be available. However, upon checking in, I quickly realized that these promises were empty words meant to secure a booking. The room I was given was nothing like the one I was shown in the pictures during the booking process. It was outdated, poorly maintained, and lacked even the most basic amenities that were supposed to be included. When I questioned the front desk about the discrepancies, they brushed me off with an attitude that can only be described as dismissive and disrespectful. They seemed completely disinterested in addressing my concerns and made it clear that they were not going to make any effort to rectify the situation. It felt like they had already gotten what they wanted - my money - and didn't care about providing the service they had advertised. To make matters worse, I had paid for certain additional services which were promised to be included in my stay, but when I inquired about them, the front office staff denied any knowledge of such offerings. It was as if I was being gaslighted. The frustration and disappointment I felt were overwhelming, and it truly ruined the entire purpose of my trip. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice. The false information provided by the front office staff, along with their rude and unhelpful demeanor, made this a stay I would rather forget. I believe in honest and transparent business practices, and this hotel fell far short of those standards. My experience here was a painful lesson, and I hope my review serves as a warning to others.

We could enjoy delicious meals and snacks at this well-known restaurant without having to travel far. The convenience of having a renowned eatery on-site made our dining experiences delightful and hassle-free. Hotel Akshsya itself provided a comfortable and pleasant stay for our family. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and spacious enough to accommodate our needs. The staff members were friendly, courteous, and always ready to assist us with any requests or queries we had. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to our overall experience. Overall, our stay at Hotel Akshsya in Chidambaram was highly satisfying. The family-friendly environment, dedicated parking, close proximity to the Natarajar Temple East Gopuram, and the presence of Adyar Anand Bhavan resis within the premises made it a convenient and enjoyable choice for us. One of the worst hotel in Chidambaram.Charge is too much for ac rooms and not worth for it..The Reception Staff is too rude and money minded not customer friendly..Booked 2 rooms atfirst she told that everything is available..after paying the amount not an advance they ask every customer to pay an full amount.because after checkout nonody will pay the amount iam sure..because there is no basic facilities..there is no wifi after paying the amount she s telling..no water bottles..ac is not working..ac was on full night but the room was hot..not only in the 2 rooms..Worst customer service..no complimelntary food etc...People pls dont stay in this hotel..pls dont waste ur money..There are lot of good hotels in chidambaram
