Hot water is not available for everyone. They need to increase their boiler capacity. Room wise everything is fine.

This hotel has the worst service , we asked for hot water at 7:00 PM now it is 9:00 PM . Still we aren't getting. 1st you improve your hotel service and this hotel is not able to even give feedback form also . Just think about it

Worst service pls improve ur service then only you can earn . We asked at 7pm for hot water now it is 9 pm yet we did not get hot water for bathing we asked due to the cool weather

We visited this Hotel (Akash Ganga) as a part of Tour Package from Indian Holiday Private Limited (IHPL) on 15-16 Sept 2022 (2 Rooms for 2 Nights). The honest & impartial review is as under: - PROS: - 1. Good Food. The staff at the Dining Hall are cooperative and humble; 2. Due to some issues, I spoke to IHPL and conveyed them the inconvenience caused to us. The owner of the Hotel, having come to know about this fact, was kind enough to call back on the same night when we were on the way to GuptKashi. I advised him to be involved in the supervision all the time, as staff would just work for their salary. They are no ways concerned with the brand image of the Hotel at Uttarkashi; 3. Hot & Cold Water Availability; 4. Spacious Room CONS: - 1. Careless & Negligent behaviour of people deployed at Reception; 2. Delayed Room Service; 3. Unclean Room (Photo attached). The moment we entered the room for the first time, we saw the dirty linen / bedsheet with hairs all around. The linen and cushion covers were not changed. The Staff was reluctant to do his job of changing the linen & cushion cover. The tables were never cleaned up it seems. I have the video as well; 4. Erratic Electric Supply (especially at Night); 5. Doors had unworkable latches. The bathroom door in one of the room would get locked automatically. The Contractor had done a useless job. I believe the owner must have given the task of supervision to someone who might have been negligent in supervision or had other motives; 6. Finally, the Laundry Guy hired by the Hotel was a maniac. He charged 50/- even for a T-Shirt & Half pant, 100 for Jeans. Despite having more than 36 hours at his disposal, he delivered all the clothes completely wet. He had the audacity to pretend as if he has executed his job well. The photo is enclosed which shows that we had to spread those clothes over the bed to get it dry. We had put up plastics under the linen so that the bed is safe. When I spoke to him over the phone, he spoke as if he is the actual owner of the Hotel. Had it not been a CharDham Yatra, I would have filed a complaint with the authority to take such people to task. DO NOT AVAIL LAUNDRY SERVICE OF AKASH GANGA, unless they correct themselves after reading this. ADVISE: - 1. One must always check the door handles, latches, hot & cold water, Flush, Linen before booking the hotel room; 2. One should try and avoid availing services from Tour Operators, as we become completely dependent on them. They try and create panic situation by saying that all rooms are getting filled fast. Infact, this is not the case atleast 98% of the time. There are several hotel rooms available everywhere; 3. IHPL said hotel at Guptkashi is also getting filled up. But in the same hotel, I booked another room at the same time (at my additional expense), and there were several rooms which were up for booking. Do not blindly trust Tour Operators. They create BUSINESS out of FEAR & PANIC; 4. Lastly, due to spiritual tourism, people don't get qualitative services that you may expect in metro & other prominent cities. Since the options are limited (as most of the Tourists rely on the Tour Operators) for spiritual yatra, the Hotel In-Charge do not care about the Services.

Very nice hotel, built near the Gangotri Highway so you can get to the hotel without confusion. Staff are nice, sometimes playful, very spacious and excellent infrastructure. Overlooking the River Ganga (Ganges) where you can boat and fish. Near the bazaar, so other resources not provided by the hotel can be bought there. In other words, the location is perfect. Looking forward in visiting this hotel again.

A good hotel. Rooms are neat and clean. Staff is good, owner himself ensures all facilities to tourists. Food is also good. Occupancy rate is very good. Only negative point is you don't have much choice. We had dinner and it was a buffet dinner consisting of dal, rice, chapatti, one vegetables, rasam, curd, papad and sweet dish. Another is that each room is provided with 1 bottle of bisleri irrespective of guests in room.

Excellent...especially old people tired could relax well using hot water..very clean.. ambience very good..
