Hotel Abode Shillong- The Residency - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

The hotel is a scam of a hotel. The only positive thing about it, was the location as it is walking distance from police bazaar. But everything else was pathetic. Dirty floors, dirty linen, no geyser in the room and no hot water.. We could not even take bath. There is also no elevator.. Don't come if you want to save some serious trouble.. Also no hanging place or wardrobe - and we took a deluxe room (imagine what will be for a normal room)

Staffs and owner of the hotels are non-cooperative. I had made plan for 2 night 3 days for meghalaya tour but the trip got cancelled bcz of death of my uncle. I informed hotel at Cherapunji and shillong on the same day of booking about it and got refund for Cherapunji stay but this hotel didn't accept it after my repeated requests and they forfeit amount of 2 rooms. I found this very unethical so thought of sharing, also won't recommend anyone for this hotel.

Very nice place.I have stayed at this hotel for almost 10 days in Shillong and it has been a great experience. From the front office to the house keeping and F&B everyone has been very helpful and understanding. Instant help and consideration were taken towards my entire stay with the Mr. Karan. The housekeeping staff is really sweet, the rooms are kept up to date with all the amenities, and even encountering problems late at night have been solved and taken care of. The food is delicious and amazing, feels like home. Big thanks to the entire staff at Hotel Abode for the utmost respect and care given. Thank you, Mr Karan

Rooms are beautiful, but not that clean. I had to ask for the services several times, they don't do it on their own. For room cleaning, for towel changing, for bed sheets changing, for bathroom cleaning, for drinking water, etc I had to ask them 3 to 4 times. Location: due to the busy road outside, we couldn't sleep peacefully, the horns were annoying all the time, otherwise it's near to the police bazar. I would suggest this hotel, in the case of emergency or low budget only.

Great place to stay. I like the way receptionist Shilpi guided and communicated with me in a very polite manner other Staff members are also very cooperative. Rooms are neat and clean. Gonna go again, recommend to visit and stay.

I travel a lot for work and stay in different hotels Trust me do not book here. No hot water. No basic toileteries like dental kit and moisturizer Dirty linens Room on 1st floor gets noisy by staff watching YouTube on phone as early as 7am. No good eateries nearby, min 600 -800 mtr walk

Loved the roooms. They have have created new roomz which are lively and good balcony to chill and enjoy the weather with a nice smoke

Rating high because the guy Karan Pathak is intelligent. Rooms are above average, new building, unfortunately borewell water is supplied which is Yellow. Not suitable for bathing. Room 205 is a triangle and feels weird to stay. Overall the hotel is better than most hotels in Shillong Police Bazar.
