Hotel Abhishek in Chiplun offers Malwani-style cuisine, but its food may not match up to the standards of other renowned restaurants in cities like Mangalore, Udupi, and Bangalore etc The thali is relatively expensive, and the hospitality towards outsiders is lacking. However, while it may not meet the expectations of visitors from South India, locals in Chiplun consider it to be the best restaurant in the area. It's worth a visit at least once to experience it for yourself. We took 4 thali, in which 2 we took surmai 1. Chicken Thali 2. Surmai ( kingfish Thali) 3. Shell Thali They will give either rice or wada or inplace of all this they will give rice, but it's best to go with chapathi since if you don't take either of them you may not find it worth. The thali typically includes one curry, an extra curry, onion pieces, lemon slices, and kaadi.

A famous restaurant serving good non veg and seafood in Chiplun. We had called for sea food and mutton dishes. Mutton tasted great, but we did not like sea food much. The fish and crab curries seemed to have a hint of dried fish, which we didn't like. Albeit, it served one of the best wades I've ever had. For parking, they have a compound on the opposite side of the road across the restaurant.

Highly overrated and hyped restaurant Very expensive, we have had best of sea food thalis in mumbai and Dey still charge you upto 500rs for surmai thali. Here it is around 520 for 2.small pieces of surmai (in thali). Quality and quantity are not upto the mark and specially when compared to the high cost. Please note -Only cash is accepted We had surmai thali and chicken thali. Attached pics do look but mind u they are deceptive. Hilarious part was Machi thali - in that you are served either bangda or bombil and still it costs u roughly 450..never had such expensive bangda thali :D

The seafood dishes at this restaurant have declined in quality and taste. While it was once a popular destination for seafood enthusiasts, the restaurant's offerings now fall short of expectations. As a result, I would not recommend this place any more.

This hotel used to be quite famous a decade ago. People travelling from Mumbai would have lunch here. The bombil fry and fish thali are popular. It's still as it was - a little old world feel. Food is good. The photos of celebrities they had on the walls are damaged in the floods. Still a good place to have lunch/dinner.

The bestest ever Malvani food out there on the Mumbai Goa National Highway. Chicken Sukkha is top notch and probably their speciality but on the contrary if someone is up for butter chicken in a Malvani restaurant well you heard it out right they serve so much better butter chicken than on anyone on the National Highway.
