Hotel 56 Amritsar ( 200 Meters from Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh ) - Hotel in Amritsar - Amritsar, India

Hotel location is great ,near to golden temple and railway station , rest all things are not as expected , room size is two small, bathroom is very small and not comfortable , not justifies the price tag,door mat was also not given.

AVOID! It seems like it used to be a fine hotel once, but the neglect and lack of maintenance are noticable: dirty sheets and towels, broken handles and drawers etc. When asked to replace only one of the towels that was the dirtiest, I was told 'it's ok like this. It doesn't go off', and did not get another towel. But the worst thing is the lack of railing on the stairs. It is REALLY DANGEROUS!! We were on the 5th floor, and our door was 20 cm from a 5 stories free fall!!

Worst experience. Nothing provided. No ventilation. It stinks. Have to ask for each and everything more than 10 times. Hotel people r least bothered. Photos that are posted by hotel show so many things but not a single thing provided. No soap,shampoo or any toileteries provided. No water kettle. Blanket should be asked. No dustbin. Bathroom door and main door locks r broken. No proper power backup. Many more points are der. WORST Experience.

Just nice experienced 2.5 stars for this hotel 56 because amenities was not available at the time of giving us the room we need to ask again again for same amenities. washroom was no cleaned and the receptionist is not kean to ask do you have any problem they cant provide the cab, tea was not available at 4 am

The hotel has a nice location but the facilities are below par. The room was booked for two but only one towel was provided. Extra blankets were not available or provided even after request and most importantly, cleanliness was extremely bad. The bed linen was stained. The moment we switched on the shower, an empty cigarette packet fell on the head!

Very near to the golden temple . Walking distance. Near the main market . Rooms are quite very small but clean . Only water bottles are available . Tea is severed only by order. Only one boy for services so it became late . But owners behave is very decent. Very near to railway station . Even you can eat langar both the timings because it's very near .

Bad service, bad rooms, worst customer service. The person in the hotel is rude and don't have manners how to talk to their customers. He shouted on my Aunt (80 years old) saying "yeh aapka Ghar nahi hain" (this is not your house) when she just asked for a bucket in the bathroom. That's only the tip of the ice berg. ACs don't have remotes and when asked he shouted saying "AC hain toh sahi, raho". I really wonder who has given 5 or 4 star rating to this $h!t hole place. The bed sheets are filthy and so their floorings. So overall it was a bad experience. Avoid it if you can. But the only grace point is the location that's in the middle of the market.

Hotel is close to golden temple, about 700meters. Good location clean rooms and bathroom. Perfect for a short stay. Lift is available at the property too. The reception can be accessed by climbing a few steps.
