You can say couple spot, small family picnic spot or solo ride. But natural beauty has given preserving touch by local authority is respectful. Enjoy clean water but do not swim. Everyone in Karwar must visit this place once. Rainy season will be awsome time to visit.
I don't know why they call this a dam. When you get here one here calls it a pond. A good size lake with a overflow men made outlet. It is is nice place to sit around and can wader to the lake. It has some monuments and monarch butterfly migrate to here certain times of the year. There where a few butterflies, that were to lazy to go back. It has a garden , probably more lush certain times of the year. The guide said there normally is a nice waterfall and rushing water from the outlet. But this being the day season, the lakes water was lower then the overflow point. Probably better after sone heavy rain .ok for a quick stop.
Mesmerizing place. Its beautiful than before now. Best place to bring your family or friends, relaxing place. Best scenic place to sit and watch. And best option to get good clicks here. Good atmosphere. Overall good experience.. I've posted 1year back photos but now its been upgraded and looking more beautiful than before, i will visit soon for sure. Its really awesome during rainy season. Must visit
Very peaceful place. Secluded from hustle and bustle. Good to spend an hour just watching the Kali river, very peaceful. Make sure to take tea from the shop at the entrance. They are renovating this place, but it's a good place to go as is. It's about 2 kilometres off-road from Karwar to dandeli highway.
Another natural place losing its serenity by unnecessary beautification. The place was good as it was but it's being constructed with tiles and animal dummies for the so called nature lovers who are afraid of insects and bugs. Stairs for the highly geared hikers and bringing commercialisation to just about anything.
Super cool, highly safe, any elderly person can also visit.
Wonderful scenic view, must go for peace of mind
