Hot Chips Veg Restaurant - South Indian restaurant in Chennai - Chennai, India

South Indian breakfast at this restaurant was a delightful.The idlis were incredibly fluffy and had a delicate taste. They were served with sambar and a range of chutneys, including coconut chutney, tomato chutney.

I have been a regular customer of this branch of hot chips for about 20 years now. I can see the quality of food has deteriorated over the years. However, the quality of coffee is still the same. I love the coffee here so much that I travel about 10-15 kms once a week just to have the coffee. Since it is opposite to Chennai high court finding a parking spot during peak working hours would be next to impossible This place has parking on the road which is usually full even during off peak hours. However, during off peak hours it is easy to find parking spot a bit away (within 100 metres radius) from the restaurant .

We went for lunch at hotchips restaurant which located in front of High court, Chennai. Meals is ok kind of. Need to get coupon before entering in to the place. Self serving only. In Weekdays it's too crowded. Variety rices are around 70rs each. Worth for the money. Fastfood items also available.

Inga food was awesome but a little bit cozy The coffee was excellent and one of the best coffee in that area Tea is also ultimate here Try dosai and pav baji my favourite and it's delicious Infrastructure is a little bit down here need for more space for accommodating people

There are vast changes in this outlet. Now entirely changed as self service, ac dining hall got closed and partially the kitchen moved to the other side. Lights are blinking and atmosphere seems not ok. Otherwise food taste are maintained well, coffee is the best here after having good food.

Ambience was gud. Prices are in reasonable range Food is Good Fillter coffee is highly recommended

90 % of food quality is good and authentic South taste , 10% of food is I guess prepared by North Indian cook, I request restaurant should carefully look in to this matter.

Had my own lil experience of Chennai's heritage with filter coffee at this Hot chips. What's so special about it ? Well it's housed in one of the iconic Indo Saracen buildings that are the crowning jewel of Broadway. If you need decent hygiene standards , stay away . If your immunity is Chennai bred , then the food won't harm you . Namma chennai! Namma Kapi!
