Hostel Mandala - Backpacker Hostel in Anjuna - North Goa, India

I had the absolute delight of staying at the Hostel Mandala for 5 days in November. I had booked a private room for the entirety of my stay and it came with a full size bed, closet for my things, controllable A/C, and a private bathroom; As someone coming from the US, it's about the size of a studio apartment. The staff were incredible, breakfast options readily available, and Dusty the cat was a sweetheart. Super close to great food and drink spots and the beach is less than a 2 min walk away. You get an IMMENSE amount of value for what you pay. Would 100% stay here again in a heartbeat

No Parking for 4 wheelers. Rooms are small although they are neat and clean. Service is poor and has lots of restrictions like they denied to give ice. Lots of communication gap as the caretaker will modify things on his own. Owner will call you up like a teacher preaching you over call. They only changed bedsheets and cleaned room once in 3 days. On asking for complimentary bottles, the girl at the counter started making faces. Wifi in the room wasn't working at all. Pvt rooms have same restrictions as hostel. Caretaker is just for namesake.

Hitlers den... If you are happy to be dominantly controlled even after paying money, you are welcome! Even my college hostel was not having such rules! If you request for some basic services then they will make weired faces and the owner will give a call to spoil your evening with his moral lecture because he doesn't want to keep more staff.. Cat will be jumping all around... even on the crockery and dining table!

Amazing Staff. Very Cooperative. Clean Rooms. Roof is amazing. Food is good too. Location is a walk from Anjuna beach. All in All great and would definitely recommend and visit again.

Had a pleasant experience at Hostel Mandala. Located near Anujna Beach and one can enjoy the view of the beach from the Hostel terrace. Staff is pretty welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Value for money indeed. A must visit place in North Goa.

The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Had a very pleasant stay at this place. The cat is an added bonus.

This place makes you realise how hostels are nothing but extension of there hosts vibe. I stayed in around 5 hostels on my first trip to goa and the hospitality, peace and support is by far the best at Mandala. Akshay's vibe has made Mandala home away from home. Quite literally. You can be partying all night and day, be tired travelling places and come back home at peace and quiet to rejuvenate yourself in the positive ambience. Its not highly recommended its a must to be here.

We are a group of three girls that we feel so comfortable in Mandala that we decided to extend almost one week extra living with them. Thanks a lot for help us so much. Will see you soon :)
