The best thing about this place is that it's on hill top amidst tropical forest with some wildlife and nature surrounded by breath-taking view of mountains! This resort is managed by AP government tourism authorities. It may not match five-star hotel services. However, they are fairly good. The staff is very friendly, the food is very tasty. The accommodation is very spacious and is a replica of 2 BHK (except kitchen) property. However, the cleanliness is maintained decent but not excellent. The bathroom fittings were old and not maintained. Rest was very good. The pricing was in the range of 4k to 5k, including the buffet breakfast. Also, there's a small adventure park in this location. The park has rope climbing, rope cycling, and many interesting adventure activities. As it's owned and managed by government tourism, it comes with a very affordable price (around 100 to 150 rupees per activity). I missed it for lack of time, you don't miss it. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this place with my friends group!
Really a wonderful place for holidays Location and view points are really amazing and mainly sunrise was really beautiful.Inside the hillstation there was a mini zoo, swimming pool, massage center, good hotel and bar. A single room in a duplex block takes around 3.2k...
This is a large state run resort on the top of the hill. There are rooms of various categories, some of which are air conditioned. There is plenty of car parking. The rooms we stayed in were large and comfortable. We stayed in Wild Winds AC. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The AC worked but the TV did not. There is an electric kettle, a toaster and a small refrigerator. It would be nice if they provide tea bags, sugar sachets and powder milk sachets. There is a restaurant and a bar. We found the food reasonably good. I wish they would stock some more brands of beer in the bar. Service is good and the staff are courteous. Booking can be done online. Credit cards are accepted. However, do keep in mind the fact that the terrain is undulating and it could be somewhat challenging for senior citizens or those with knee problems to walk around the place. Littering by day trippers is a major nuisance in the area. Garbage bins need to be provided at regular intervals on the roadside.
About 90% of the property on top of Horsley Hills is owned by AP Tourism Haritha. The rooms are big and spacious, clean ,but proper upkeep is required. There's a restaurant called Amritha Restaurant and Bar,where average food is available. Liquor with limited choices and prices above MRP is served. There are caretakers available who deliver food to your rooms. Near the Horsley Bungalow, there is a beautiful ayurvedic massage center with very reasonable prices available. A lot of people were seen lining up for it. Fish foot spa and also swimming pool is available. By the side of the Bungalow is the viewpoint. There is a viewing tower, but unfortunately, I couldn't go there as a group of hooligans were busy gambling there. There are two places for viewing the sunset and the sunrise. If you take the rooms on the Bungalow itself or very close to that, both sunrise and sunset can be seen from the rooms. There is a beautiful forest with a small zoo available on one side of the Horsley Hill. The prime attraction of the forest is a 162 year old eucalyptus tree (named Kalyani),planted by WH Horsley . Sharing some photos from the view point and also the forest area, showing the eucalyptus tree.
Not price worthy for the stay. Near to the view points and all the view points are at walkable distance so can be considered for staying overnight. They also offer unlimited complimentary breakfast.
Rooms are good but they didn't provide any amenities for us and the atmosphere is awesome to spend time with family
Great location. Good food. Pet was allowed: on special request. Rooms are Good but need some modern upgrade. Enjoyed.
Horsley hill is one of the fantastic hill stations near Bengaluru. Though it comes in AP but just 150 km from Bangalore. It is worth visiting this place. Most of the hotels belong to the AP government so the condition is not so luxurious. It's just ok to stay but the place is very scenic and greenery around the hills. Many cottages and restaurants are available here. One can have a day out or overnight stay facility here.

Nice spacious rooms. Very courteous and patient staff. The food also is good. However, the restaurant seemed a little understaffed due to which delays were there in serving orders. Not a huge issue. Overall pleasent stay.
