Horagina Betta - Hiking area in Chikkasagarahalli - Chikkaballapura, India

Enjoyed the hike. Hiked during the Monsoon so it was entire region was covered with greenery. Easy to moderate level of hike. We climbed from front trail and descended from the back trail also known as Nandi One trail. Front trail was bit challenging.

Nice little hike. Definitely on the easier side, with a gradual ascent and nothing too steep or very difficult. Got enough trees to block out the sun in case it gets too sunny, but a lot of the vegetation is also very thorny! So have to watch out for that! Small temple on top with decent resting spots nearby. Total time of hike will be 4-5 hours depending on where you start/finish.

It is a short and sweet trekking place enroute to Nandi Hills. Not many people know about this place since not much human waste was found on its tracks :P It is a good place to start for beginners. Also, there is a dog that guides you the route ans without him trust me, there is a huge possibility of you getting lost in that hill. It's takes about 3 hrs to ascend and descend. Overall, good place.

Best place for a small 2km trek. I was surprised by the serene and the calm environment here compared to the overCrowded Nandi Hills just a few kms apart. Do visit this place before it gets crowded. There were no fellow trekkers but the path was clear although we could not find the subramanya temple which we searched for 30 mins. I do recommend this place, if you are looking for a peaceful place for a small hike and near to blr.

Lovely place and surrounded by amazing views in all the directions...I went on a night trek it was adventurous and splendid...it's a easy to moderate trek for all ages...there is a temple on the peak..you get to see spectacular sunrise and sunset..be aware of leeches immediately after rainy season and there are a lot of cactus kinda bushes be careful while hiking

A moderately hard trek. But this area is protected by forest department so make sure you either get their permission or not to get caught. Also there has been reports of Cheetah and bear. So stay safe
