Good rooms with a beautiful, quiet and peaceful atmosphere to unwind from our daily fast paced lives! The rooms are surrounded by well maintained plants. Since the hotel is a heritage building, the rooms have a unique feel of olden times that I personally really loved! Miss Maria is a very sweet and friendly. This review is a little late but thank you so much Aunty for your caring service during our stay!

Despite being quite a busy tourist hillstation, we were lucky to find ourselves a room at Hope Hall, and meet Ms. Maria, who hosted us like family. Ms. Maria lets us know all details of the property, the facilities and the services right upfront, and provides us any additional amenities we might need. The location is quite peacefully situated, close to the starting point of the lake, echo point and other trails, and just one brisk walk away from the railway station too. This makes it free from commotion and disturbance. There is a small cafe that makes anything we request, just at the starting point of the lake road, ahead of this property. Ms. Maria would also arrange breakfast if informed earlier and paid for., and even otherwise, there are many restaurants towards the town. As other reviews mention, the entire property is a vintage, beautiful and well maintained mansion, that had quite big rooms, which Ms. Maria offers for very attractive, non-touristy charges. All the rooms are equipped with their own individual power backup UPS and have a nice garden view. I look forward to staying here again, maybe with a bigger group, very soon.

Looking for a calm and unwinding spot, this is it. It's not fancy and hi tech but the place brings you at ease. You can relax by the porch and enjoy nature(if u are into nature). You're welcomed by a sweet lady, Maria. She will provide with basic amenities. Please note - the rooms have multiple bed's depending on the amount of people. Keep a lookout for monkeys . They steal everything. The furry friends are the sweetest. Enjoy!!

I was lucky to find this hotel. Finally we found this hotel which was at an excellent location & at a reasonable price. Maria mam explained everything about the property. This property is very close to the starting point of Alexander point , echo point & Charlotte lake point. There is a huge garden.. Very quiet and nice place .

So we happened to check in hope hall hotel, they stay was quiet superb. Calm and Silent and close by to the nature as I specifically look out for whenever I travel forest like location. The owner Maria was sweet and gave us a pleasant gesture all the time we happened to speak to her. The rooms were quiet spacious and clean. We were a couple who had check in...please note the agents out there won't recommend this hotel as she doesn't entertain them. You can check with her directly or through the numbers given on her website. Couldn't meet the owner for a bye while check out as it was her rest time. Would be happy to see her soon the next time we visit Matheran. Chaos... Regards Ankit

The location is nice. Basically, the hotel construction is old before 1875. The heritage was maintained well . It is for all age groups , specifically for families and couples, or cousins who want to visit and enjoy our personal lives. Nice experience to visit.

The owner is really sweet, nice and transparent. We liked the place because of its natural beauty surrounded by the big garden and connectivity to the points, station and market. Pocket friendly spacious rooms with flexible timings helped us to enjoy more. Hope to stay even longer next time.

Very old property. However peaceful. No food available in the hotel but you can get it from outside.
