The mall is situated near the Royapettah Clock Tower. The mall is built on an 8-acre site inside the historic Indian Express Estate and has four floors of retail space, a building for corporate offices and a hotel. Out of 10 acres, about 3.57 acres have been taken up by buildings. The rest have been used for car parking, drive-ways and landscaping. In all, the mall has 26 lifts, 34 escalators and 4 travelators. Express Avenue hosts a mixture of shopping, business and leisure. The mall is bounded by Whites Road, Woods Road and Patullos Road and has a three-level basement parking space for over 1,500 cars and a parking area for bikes. It has a total development of 1,500,000 square feet (140,000 m2) including 900,000 sq ft of retail space, 100,000 sq. ft of hotel, 200,000 sq. ft of office space, 400,000 sq ft of parking space.The mall was inaugurated on 26 May 2010.

Pathetic service. Spent more than an hour and could hardly find anyone around for queries and to go ahead with the billing. Since they might come across a lot of window shoppers, the staff considers every other prospective shopper as a window shoppers I guess. The collection is very good and that's the reason I couldn't give lesser stars! I shall go to another branch or another brand. Thank you!

The store itself is amazing. They have a wide range of reasonably priced homeware. The staff are thieves. At least one time so far, I've been charged for items that I did not buy. I only realised this after I'd gotten back home and gone over the bill. They stole 400 rs from me and that money absolutely went into the pocket of the cashier. I can't do anything about it now, since I didn't check the bill when I was in the store. I sincerely advise everyone making any purchase there to absolutely stand right there at the cash counter, and check the printed bill you've received to make sure that they're not stealing from you. Check the bill BEFORE you pay them, so that they have no ability to cheat you out and thieve from you the way they did from me. Absolutely disgusting that at a nice mall with a good reputation you can't trust the employees of the stores in the mall to be honest and not rob the customers they're supposed to serve.

Their pricing is actually very reliable. They have good collections. Went there to check on wardrobe collection. Liked one simple one, may be thinking to buy this. They have some make of FMD also, that is very cheap quality. May break in normal 10-15days of usage itself.
