Holy River Hotel - Hotel in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

We reached Rishikesh at night and haven't had any reservations anywhere, we were checking at the hotels for rooms but either they were not available or they haven't had any parking. Luckily we entered Holy River and it had everything we were looking for: Good room, staff, parking, food and location. Initially we thought of staying only for 1 night but ended up staying for 3 nights. We really loved staying here and would love to come back here in future.

The Manager Mr. Suraj is very humble and respectful. I stayed here with my family and the stay was very very comfy. The food was nice and the rooms and hotel was very clean. I also used the the gym and yoga rooms, they were good

As a solo foreign female traveler, I was quite comfortable with this stay. I generally stay in 3 and 4 star hotels in India, and I found this place to be an excellent value. The hygiene standard was high, the rooms and facility was pleasantly maintained and the staff was extremely helpful. Suraj sir was most accommodating and made things easy and very nice. I would stay here again and recommend to others. The location is on the main street of Tapovan, so it's a bit busy in this spot, but the hotel therefore is conveniently located to all the restaurants, yoga spots, necessities and of course Ma Ganga.

Hello Team, I would like to share experience of our stay at Hotel Holy River last week. We checked in on 28th October and Checked out on 30th October 2023. I stayed with my family during this time. I would like to appreciate and acknowledge the warm welcome and support from Mr. Suraj throughout our stay. He understood our requirements and guided us on selecting the right room for our stay. We Stayed in the hotel from 8th-9th June 2023 with my Mom and Sister, for 3 persons we booked 2 Rooms, initially when we reached there were some smell in the rooms, when we complained the behaviour of manager and reception member were Awesome, they tried their best to address the problem, we are really thankful to them. Overall the stay was awesome.

The staff do not have manners that how to talk they are very rude specially with females. Very bad experience I got in this hotel.

At first I didn't expect much out of this hotel; seemed a bit nondescript from the outside (facing the main road), but on the inside it looked quite appealing and was very well-maintained, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Yhe lobby was also welcoming and had a bookshelf with some interesting books across different genres, and there was a very eye-catching Laughing Buddha too, on the way to the elevator. The premier/premium room that we got on the highest floor offered us a good view of the hills and the river as well - hence the name, I guess. The room was neat and clean and looked quite classy. However, it was a bit small in size. It had nice furniture, a kettle and tea, coffee etc. There was a fridge as well. The washroom, towels and linen were all very neat and clean, much to our relief. The staff were quite welcoming, prompt and efficient in their service. Manoj, at the parking lot, was very forthcoming, helpful and sincere and one of the girls in the restaurant, Anita, was also very helpful and pleasant. Sarvesh from Housekeeping was also very efficient and pleasant. The restaurant is pretty, cozy and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet is OK; some of the items have scope for improvement. However, the spread is quite filling. One thing that was missing in the buffet was sweets and bakery items. Otherwise, the fresh cut fruits, fresh fruit/vegetable juices, cornflakes, sandwiches and other hot items were quite good. There was even a store at one end of the restaurant where I could do a spot of shopping. In terms of the location, it is right next to the main road and is quite close to all the famous tourist spots, Jhulas and ghats. There are also a lot of restaurants, a few grocery shops and a market nearby, where you can indulge in some shopping. I would rate this place highly for safety and accessibility, and it is one of the few hotels in Rishikesh which gives you more than what you expect in terms of looks, comfort cleanliess and safety. Most of the other hotels only look great on travel websites. You will be shocked to see what they actually look like or where they are located! I wouldn't think twice about staying here again for all practical reasons. For great views and spiritual pursuits there are other places...will reserve it for another time and another story!

I had a very bad experience with this hotel. The staff is very rude specifically with the female.They do not know how to talk with a female . Very bad experience I have I suggest do not stay in this hotel.
